The study aims to find out and analyze the relationship between employee engagement, organizational culture, organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), and employee performance. The author administered 224 participants employee engagement scale, organizational culture scale, OCB scale, and employee performance scale in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan East Java area. The data is analyzed by path analysis method in SPSS program. The result indicated that employee engagement and organizational culture affects positive significantly on OCB. Employee engagement, organizational culture and OCB also affects positive significantly on employee performance.

The purpose of this study was to determine the direct effect of career development on employee engagement, the direct effect of career development and employee engagement on OCB, and the role of employee engagement in mediating the influence of career development on OCB. This research was conducted at CS Hotel and SPA Ubud with a sample of 84 peoples. The number of samples is determined by the saturated sampling method and data collection is done through interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is PLS. Based on the results of the study it was found that career development had a significant positive effect on employee engagement and career development and employee engagement had a significant positive effect on OCB. The results also show that employee engagement has a role as a mediating variable that strengthens the influence of career development on OCB. Keywords: organizational citizenship behavior, employee engagement, career development.

Banking industry is one of sector that relies its employees on its quality of human capital. In facing the organizational change in the form of digitaliation, the performances of employees are really challenged.  This study seeks to test the role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) as mediator of the effect of employee engagement and organizational commitment  on the employees performance at PT. BCA, Tbk Jember branch, Indonesia.  This study used quantitative approach. As many as 162 employees are involved as respondents. We differ them based on their employee types, those are contract and permanent employees. The analytical tool used is path analysis. We report that there is a significant indirect effect of employee engagement and organizational commitment on employees performance through OCB. The role of OCB as mediator is significant in both of effects. We also found that employee engagement and organizational commitment have a significant direct effect on employee performance, employee engagement and organizational commitment have a significant direct effect on OCB, and OCB has a significant direct impact on employee performance.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to investigate how employer brand experience (EBE) impacts organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). In addition, it aims to identify the mediating role of employee engagement (EE) in relationship between EBE and OCB.Design/methodology/approachTo test the research hypotheses, a web questionnaire was developed and data were collected from 426 respondents working in the Indian banking sector. Hypotheses were tested using structural equational modeling.FindingsEBE was positively related to OCB. The predicted mediating role of EE in the relationship between EBE and OCB was also supported.Research limitations/implicationsThe study is confined to the banking sector only, which limits the generalization of the findings.Practical implicationsThe results imply that firms should leverage on various dimensions of employer brand (EB) i.e. compensation, work–life balance, working environment, training and corporate social responsibility to enhance EE and OCB.Originality/valueThe research is among the very few to confirm the role of EBE vis-à-vis current employees especially in a collectivist society like India. The study also confirmed the mediating role of EE between EBE and OCB which have not been studied previously.

The purpose of this paper is to pinpoint the impact of Employee Engagement on Organizational Citizenship Behavior. It also studies the moderating effect of training, compensation and performance appraisal on EE and OCB connection. A survey design was incorporated to select employees from Universities owned by private sector. The causal relationship was checked by regression and hierarchal multiple regression analysis was applied for the centralized impact of moderating variable on EE and OCB relationship. A total of 281 questionnaires were circulated among respondents and 266 valid responses were received back.On the basis of statistical analysis it was found that employee engagement was a good predictor and has a significant impact on OCB. However, the moderating variables training, compensation and performance appraisal were also having a significant impact on the link of employee engagement and OCB. It is recommended that the managers must focus on employees training, compensation and proper appraisal system to further nourish the citizenship behavior of employee in order to promote the organization objectives. The scope of the present research is limited to private sector universities;therefore, in future a relative study of both private and public sector universities may be carried out by considering both administrative and teaching faculty.

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between psychological empowerment and two behavioral outcomes of an employee (organizational citizenship behavior and knowledge sharing behavior) by examining the mediating role of employee engagement and moderating role of leader-member exchange. A survey was completed by 146 employees working in a variety of jobs and organizations. The data were collected by self- administered questionnaire and then analyzed by using correlation and regression analysis. Results indicate that psychological empowerment positively influences organizational citizenship behavior and knowledge sharing behavior. In addition, employee engagement partially mediates the relationship between psychological empowerment and organizational citizenship behavior and fully mediates between psychological empowerment and knowledge sharing behavior. Leader-member exchange does not moderate the relationship between psychological empowerment and employee engagement. Psychological empowerment has positive relationship with the employee engagement for employees low in leader-member exchange than for employees high in leader-member exchange. The implications of these findings are discussed.

The small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) play a fundamental role in providing job opportunities and supporting national economy. Therefore, it is essential to increase SMEs’ contributions to the economy by examining the factors that positively impact performance. As one of the main obstacles that hinder SMEs’ performance is workforce-related, then organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) can contribute to performance improvement. Consequently, the current research’s concern is to identify factors that are associated with employee OCB. To this end, employer branding, employee engagement and person-organization fit are proposed as antecedents of the OCB. This study contributes to the literature by identifying determinants of OCB and providing a framework that improves OCB.
