The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of recognition and career advancement on employee job performance in Nigeria Brewery Plc in Imagbon, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. Survey research design was adopted for the study. The target population consists of 215 staff of Nigerian Brewery Plc. Imagbon, and sample size was 88. A Structured questionnaire was used as a research instrument in gathering the primary data used for the study. The data collected were analysed using mean, standard deviation and correlation analysis with the help of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS version 23). The results and findings indicated that employee recognition (r-0.759, p- 0.029) and career advancement (r-0.594, p- 0.012) have significant and positive effects on employee job performance in Nigerian Brewery Plc Imagbon, Ijebu Ode, Ogun State. The research recommends that the management of Nigerian brewery Plc. should put a measure in place to ensure retention of younger employee that constitute the greater percentage of the brewery industry through adequate employee recognition programmes; and that management should be fully committed to employee flexible work schedule and provide an enabling environment for all and sundry within the organization.

The rising trend of “strategic human resource management practices” is significantly leading the way to enhance the performance and competitive advantages of the banking sector. Thus, the banking sector in developing countries still using traditional HRM practices to sustain the competitive advantages and to achieve the business goals. The current study investigates the influence of organizational culture, employees’ commitment, and sustainable competitive advantages on the strategic human resource management practices in the banking sector of Saudi Arabia. We applied a resource-based view to achieve the research objectives. “Structural equation modelling-partial least square” (SEM-PLS) technique were applied to investigate the relationship among constructs under study. A cross-sectional method was applied to collect data from 181 employees working in different banks in Saudi Arabia. We found organizational culture significantly influence employees’ commitment and sustainable competitive advantages. Hence, employees’ commitment does not influence strategic human resource management practices; merely, sustaining competitive advantages significantly influence strategic human resource management practices. Additionally, employees’ commitment not mediates the relationship between organizational culture and strategic human resource practices. Thereby, sustainable competitive advantages mediate the relationship between organizational culture and strategic human resource management practices. Finally, the present study will help the banking sector to unearth the best implication of strategic human resource management practices as they can sustain the competitive advantages and achieve the business goals.

In this note we examine the debt to GDP ratio from the perspective of MMT (Modern Monetary Theory) by a simple macroeconomic model with savings by government bonds instead of money. Mainly we will show the following results. 1) In order to maintain full employment under economic growth, the budget deficit, including interest payments on government bonds, must be positive; and if the budget deficit is smaller than this value, there will be recession with involuntary unemployment. 2) Under full employment the debt to GDP ratio approaches to a finite value over time. 3) In the underemployment case the national income is determined by the budget deficit. 4) The excessive budget deficit causes inflation. 6) In order to recover full employment from recession we need budget deficit larger than that when full employment is maintained. 5) The budget deficit, including interest payments on government bonds, equals the increase of the savings of consumers between periods (generations); and this result holds whether we have full employment or not, whether we have inflation or not. Then, the ratio of the national debt to GDP in a period is smaller than one, and even if one period constitutes of several years, the debt to GDP ratio in a year is finite.

There has been an increasing number of Middle Eastern immigrants arriving in Malaysia over the last decade due to political and economic instability in their countries. Given their somewhat ambiguous living conditions and residence status here (e.g. legal, illegal, refugee, etc.), it is imperative to understand their situation in-depth. One of the most important aspects that impact the living conditions of these immigrants is health; accordingly, in this research, we attempted to discover the extent and factors of Middle Eastern immigrants’ satisfaction with the Malaysian healthcare system and its facilities. In this cross-sectional study, we used a questionnaire to collect data from 219 respondents both online and in-person. Various statistical methods were employed to analyze the data, including descriptive analysis, Pearson’s correlation, and multiple regression. The findings indicate a slight dissatisfaction among Middle Eastern immigrants with respect to the Malaysian healthcare system, due to the cost of health services and communication barriers. The results also highlight that marital status, monthly income, awareness of services, Malay language proficiency, and culture are factors that impact immigrants’ perception of the quality of healthcare services. Therefore, this study provides valuable insights into this important group of immigrants in terms of their experience in public and private healthcare facilities that shape their opinions and satisfaction with the Malaysian healthcare system.

Managing supply chain disruption needs to be considered an important activity for organizations. Supply chain risk management implies identifying, assessing, monitoring, and evaluating the potential risks across all supply chain members. The process of risk management emphasizes the improvement of supply chain performance through designing appropriate strategies. To be more precise, the chief responsibility in supply chain risk management is to ensure quality performance during crises and disruptions. Hence, identifying and validating risk-relevant factors that leads to superior business performance is necessary.  This study aims to validate the instrument to measure the impact of factors associated with business performance i.e., strategic leadership, business continuity planning, and resilience to disruption. This paper contributes to the literature by developing a comprehensive model that strengthens a firm’s resilience to disruption and leads to superior business performance.

In recent times, commercial agent banking services have got considerable attention from academia and the banking industry for accelerating financial inclusion in emerging economies. However, it's incomprehensible to accelerate the economic progression through financial inclusion while ignoring a huge segment of the nonbank people from unprivileged areas. A very few studies have been conducted on the association between agent banking services and financial inclusion in emerging economies such as Bangladesh. The present study aims to investigate the impact of agent banking services provided by commercial banks on financial inclusion. To begin with the investigation, this study was based on agency theory considering the purposive sampling technique. This quantitative study was conducted on 19 commercial banks which are currently providing agent banking services in Bangladesh. An econometric model was proposed whereas the dependent construct has one specific dimension named as financial inclusion proxy by several accounts as a percentage of the adult population, in contrast, the independent construct had three dimensions named as-deposited amount, credited amount, and inward remittance of agent bank. In addition to that, this econometric model was based on secondary data whereas data analysis was conducted by considering panel data statistical method using GRETL (2019) software. This statistical analysis revealed that currently both the deposited amount and credited amount do have a significant impact on financial inclusion.  It has also been inferred that using agent banking for in-warding remittance and new accounts open by clients have a positive significant relationship with financial inclusion. It is argued that agent banking services by comprising unbanked people in financial inclusion will ultimately prompt the opportunity for proper mobilization of resources and funds while maintaining safety and security. Further, it is also claimed that this study would assist to illustrate the present performance of agent banking services in financial inclusion from a multidimensional perspective which will contribute to providing some more innovative and sustainable products and services towards the unbanked people. Finally, this study recommends that commercial banks through agent banking should include a maximum number of nonbank populations into the financial inclusion by ensuring sustainable agent banking services which will accelerate the emerging economics Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) performance.

There is no denying the fact that operations of manufacturing organisations have had adverse impact on the global environment and Ghana is no exception. Factors such as climate change, depletion of natural resources, environmental pollution and increase in carbon footprint as well as violation of human rights which have characterized the activities of these organisations over decades have led to a growing call by key stakeholders on manufacturing companies to have a paradigm shift in their approach to manufacturing in ways that meet environmental, economic, and social needs. It appears that an integration of manufacturing activities among channel members within the supply chain is a good approach in reducing the harmful effects of their operations, create value and wealth out of such activities and improve upon their operational performance. This paper is purposed to extend and strengthen theory building on sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) concept and supply chain integration to foster improved operational performance based on resource dependence theory.

The small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) play a fundamental role in providing job opportunities and supporting national economy. Therefore, it is essential to increase SMEs’ contributions to the economy by examining the factors that positively impact performance. As one of the main obstacles that hinder SMEs’ performance is workforce-related, then organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) can contribute to performance improvement. Consequently, the current research’s concern is to identify factors that are associated with employee OCB. To this end, employer branding, employee engagement and person-organization fit are proposed as antecedents of the OCB. This study contributes to the literature by identifying determinants of OCB and providing a framework that improves OCB.

E-management innovation system in recent years, the supply chain management system has been continuously upgrading and innovating, the main purpose is to improve the efficiency of its supply chain and reduce costs. This study investigates the effect of e-management system on supply chain efficiency. We use three assumptions to design, information technology innovation, information environment, relationship risk to do in-depth discussion on whether the efficiency of the supply chain will be affected. In this study, the Likert seven-point scale was used to design the survey method. In this study, N=331 questionnaires were issued, and 195 questionnaires were finally available, which met the minimum sample number. The main object of this study is to investigate the senior executives in zhejiang electronics industry. This result proves that e-management innovation system can improve the efficiency of its supply chain. We observed and verified the correlation results through three dependent variables and one fruit variable.
