A recurring theme in the criticism of research relating to educational technology is that the field is swamped by descriptive studies. This work often does not provide for generalisation to population or theory, and rarely adds to our understanding of how the educational technology application or practices can be understood in terms of other contexts. Arguably, it is not sufficient to simply demonstrate that an effect was observed in response to an educational technology practice. There is an onus on researchers to consider how their findings are significant beyond the confines of their study.

Modern educational technology is widely used in college, modern educational technology application develop from simple slideshows, projection to the multimedia and network teaching, long-range education teaching, ect. The application of multimedia and network technology have positive significance in the teaching reform of cultivating student's quality , and skill training, and the creative thinking ability . Modern multimedia educational technology university plays an important role in promoting the level of teaching work and improving the quality of the education. The process of education and teaching which implements the mathematics education teaching through the application of modern educational technology curriculum, can improve math courses and teaching quality effectively. This paper explores the truth than using the modern education technology to improve education quality of teaching mathematics course. To realize mathematics teaching from the optimization, and extensive mathematics curriculum multimedia teaching, and explore the new mathematics curriculum teaching network technology actively, this paper discussed the application of multimedia technology to improve education in modern mathematics curriculum teaching quality.

This study has an objective to identify the development and policies of educational technology application in ASEAN countries. Through the literature review and analysis, this recent study has compared the issue of educational technology development and policies in ASEAN countries. The reviewing country has been chosen based on the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) index amongst the ASEAN countries, that are Singapore (as the highest rank), Thailand & Indonesia (as the middle rank), and Myanmar (as the lowest rank). The result of the study shows that the majority of the countries focused to improve network capabilities in supporting online learning, and the policies of each country showed a similarity in improving the technology equity for the learner. However, Singapore shows more advance technological implementation such as the application of broader Artificial Intelligence in classroom activity, while the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Thailand and Indonesia still in developing progress. In conclusion, the technology education development in ASEAN countries has moved forward through the past year and the policies of educational technology for each country have been similar in strengthening the ASEAN plan.

The increasing use of online virtual laboratories (OVLs) in educational institutions as a recent educational technology application necessitates developing a new educational platform for assisting instructors in using such technology in the teaching process without web programming obstacles. The OVLs are online environments that provide students with several types of content such as simulations, videos, scientific images, and infographics related to real laboratory experiments. This article proposes a unified online virtual laboratory platform (OVLP) to support instructors who teach real laboratory experiments in multi-domains. To evaluate the proposed platform, five university instructors and five experts of ICT in education have participated in this study. The data were collected using online questionnaires for both specialists, respectively. Regarding the results, they confirm that the proposed platform is acceptable for teaching real laboratory experiments, especially in the tested domains.

This paper presents the result of a three-year action research plan involving the innovative application of “LiveDVD”, a web-based English learning system loaded with VODs and embedded into the English learning program of a polytechnic university in Taiwan. Over the implementation period, the LiveDVD action plan essentially involves use requirement on students along with creation of learning and assessment materials for the target VODs and outcome management. Outcome assessment indicators include (1) the association between use activeness of LiveDVD and pass status of English proficiency certificates and (2) the causal relations between LiveDVD-related variables and English learning outcome.  A survey questionnaire on LiveDVD and the management platform were employed to collect relevant data. The chi-squared test of group independence and an SEM-based path analysis were performed to address the outcome indicators respectively. The findings of the project include: (1) use of LiveDVD is positively and significantly associated with the pass status of English proficiency certificates and, (2) use motivation has direct effect on English proficiency and create the significant mediation effect on English proficiency certificates.  This project yields significant implications especially for vocational higher education in Taiwan in the innovative application of educational technology to English education coupled with an effective outcome management model.
