Human resources practices are the essential elements for high organizational performance and attain recent researchers' focus. Therefore, the current study aims to examine the role of human resource practices such as selection, training, and compensation on the firm performance of Malaysia's palm oil industry. The examination of mediating role of organizational learning capabilities and the moderating role of organizational support among the nexus of human resource practices and firm performance of palm oil industry in Malaysia is also part of the study's objectives. The data has been collected by using questionnaires, and PLS-SEM was used for analysis. The results revealed that all the predictors such as selection, training, and compensation have positive nexus with firm performance. The results also exposed that organizational support moderated the nexus of selection, training, and firm performance while organizational learning capabilities have positively mediated the nexus of selection, training, compensation, and the palm oil industry's performance in Malaysia. These findings are valuable for the policymakers who maintain the regulations related to the human resource practices that enhance firm performance.

Recently, product development and its performance are the essential elements for the business organization that could enhance the firm performance and attains researchers' intentions. Therefore, the present study examines the impact of human, structural and relational capital on product development performance in manufacturing organizations in Indonesia. The goals also include examining the mediating role of organizational learning capabilities and R&D resources among the nexus of human, structural and relational capital and product development performance in manufacturing organizations in Indonesia. The study's quantitative data collection methods have been adopted and collect the data by using survey questionnaires. The smart-PLS, a useful statistical tool, has been employed for analysis purposes. The findings revealed that human, structural and relational capital have positive nexus with product development performance. The outcomes also show that organizational learning capabilities and R&D resources mediate the nexus of human, structural, and relational capital and product development performance in Indonesia's manufacturing organizations. These findings provide the guideline to the regulators that they should take valuable capital development and learning capabilities that could enhance the product development performance and firm performance.

PurposeThis research aims to concentrate on the important concern that how social capital (SC) influences business model innovation (BMI) in the course of the mediating role of organizational learning capabilities (OLC) and the moderating role of entrepreneurial orientation (EO). In the context of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), this study empirically tested a theoretical model of BMI to advocate a mechanism for the analysis of its significant determinants.Design/methodology/approachIn order to achieve the objective of the research, survey method was utilized, and data were collected from 521 CEOs, MDs and the owners of ICT sector SMEs. Correlation, causal step approach and regression analysis were used to test the proposed model.FindingsFinding of the research advocates that OLC mediate the relationship between SC and BMI. In addition, stronger EO augments the association between OLC and BMI.Practical implicationsThe study adds to the literature by providing insights regarding the impact of SC, OLC and EO on BMI of small firms.Originality/valueThis research enriches the existing knowledge by testing a mediating role of OLC between SC-BMI link and, therefore, makes an important addition to the existing knowledge in the context of SMEs by concentrating on the relationship between SC, OLC, BMI and EO.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is twofold. First, it aims to analyze the individual influence of different knowledge management practises (KMP) on firm performance. Second, it aims to analyze the mediating role of organizational learning (OL) between each KMP and performance. Design/methodology/approach A telephone-survey was applied in 2018 to the managers of 400 Spanish firms. The data retrieved was analyzed by using multiple regression analysis. Findings Knowledge generation (KG) and knowledge flow (KF) promote firm performance, while there is not a direct association between knowledge storage and performance. OL mediates the relationship between KG and performance, as well as between KF and performance. Research limitations/implications First, this research confirms that not all the KMP have a direct effect on firm performance, thus, future research would need to differentiate between different KMP. Second, this paper is pioneering in providing empirical evidence that OL mediates the KMP – performance relationship. Third, the empirical study was performed in a context non-researched yet by the literature considering KMP individually: Spain. Practical implications First, besides the results managers should focus their efforts in practises related to KG and application. Second, OL mediating suggests that managers should invest in managerial commitment to promote a shared culture, shared vision, open-mind to new ideas and a lot of dialogue. Originality/value This is the first study that investigates how KMP contribute to firm performance by incorporating the mediating impact of OL. The results will help organizations to identify the KMP improving the performance.

This paper investigates the Organizational Learning Capabilities (OLC) affect Organizational innovativeness (OI) on organizational performance (OP). The mediating role of IO on relationship between OLC and OP was also been studied. Analysis is based on data collected from 200 respondents drawn from Pakistan’s Telecom Sectors. Multiple regression analysis had been used to test the hypotheses. This study found that both OLC and OI have a positive impact towards OP. OI also mediates the relationship between OLC and OI.
