An attempt has been made to study the angular characteristics of heavy ion collision at high energy in the interactions of 28Si nuclei using with nuclear emulsion. The KNO scaling behavior in terms of the multiplicity distribution has been studied. A simplest universal function has been used to represent the present experimental data.

A Monte Carlo study on the charge balance function in high energy hadron-hadron and relativistic heavy ion collisions are carried out using the Monte Carlo generators PYTHIA and AMPT, respectively. A strong dependence of the width of balance function on multiplicity is found in both cases. Using the mean parton-freeze-out time of a heavy-ion-collision event as the characteristic hadronization time for the event, it is found that for a fixed multiplicity interval the width of balance function is consistent with being independent of hadronization time.

We analyzed recent experimental data on the disassembly of 28Si into 7α in terms of a hybrid α-cluster model. We calculated the probability of breaking into several α-like fragments for high l-spin values for identical and non-identical spin zero nuclei. Resonant energies were found for each l-value and compared to the data and other theoretical models. Toroidal-like structures were revealed in coordinate and momentum space when averaging over many events at high l. The transition from quantum to classical mechanics is highlighted.

This paper presents a study on the coherent meson production in 12C–emulsion interactions at 4.5 Gev∙c−1∙nucleon−1 incident momentum. The search for coherence was done through noting the shape of the multiplicity distribution in different narrow rapidity bins and observing whether or not the distribution was according to Poisson; when the fields are completely coherent the multiplicity should have a Poisson distribution. It was observed that the multiplicity distribution was Poisson in nature in two bins of higher rapidity, and consequently the field was coherent in those rapidity bins. The percentage of coherent meson production was estimated to be 48%.
