As a typical application layer protocol of CAN-bus, CANopen has been widely accepted in many fields. In this paper, CanFestival, which is a kind of open-source CANopen stack, is briefly introduced. The implementation scheme of CANopen slave node is proposed, which is based on a kind of AVR microcontroller-AT90CAN128 and open-source CANopen stack-CanFestival. In this paper the hardware design of slave node and the open-source protocol stack transplant have completed successfully. The debugging experiment of this slave node communication has been carried out, and the correctness of the scheme of hardware design and software transplant is verified by debugging experiment results in this paper.

Automation industry has undergone a drastic development in recent years. In this busy world human intervention in very high critical industrial processes are compensated by the enormous growth of the automation industries. Due to the advancement there is no need for a person to continuously monitor the system instead by implementing automation through latest technologies, a very high efficient operation of the system is possible. Conveyor system plays an important role in automation for material handlin       g and packaging. For the movement of the material, that is transportation, in any processing, the lack of safety factor leads to many limitation in the automation, due to the unachievable efficiency, that is operational efficiency. For that variable speed drive are used for the purpose of modeling the conveyor belt speed, which is controlled through programmable logic controller. The main objective is to develop an embedded system that will automate the boiler control system by monitoring and controlling the temperature and pressure using the CAN bus communication technology. A PIC microcontroller is used in the project to control the entire operation of the embedded system.

Infrastructure is a significant factor in economic growth for systems of government. In order to increase economic productivity, maintaining infrastructure quality is essential. One of the elements of infrastructure is roads. Roads are means which help local and national economies be more productive. Furthermore, road damage such as potholes, debris, or cracks is the cause of many on-road accidents that have cost the lives of many drivers. In this paper, we propose a system that uses Convolutional Neural Networks to detect road degradations without data pre-processing. We utilize the state-of-the-art object detection algorithm, YOLO detector for the system. First, we developed a basic system working on data collecting, pre-processing, and classification. Secondly, we improved the classification performance achieving 97.98% in the overall model testing, and then we utilized pixel-level classification and detection with a method called semantic segmentation. We were able to achieve decent results using this method to detect and classify four different classes (Manhole, Pothole, Blurred Crosswalk, Blurred Street Line). We trained a segmentation model that recognizes the four classes mentioned above and achieved great results with this model allowing the machine to effectively and correctly identify and classify our four classes in an image. Although we obtained excellent accuracy from the detectors, these do not perform particularly well on embedded systems due to their network size. Therefore, we opted for a smaller, less accurate detector that will run in real time on a cheap embedded system, like the Google Coral Dev Board, without needing a powerful and expensive GPU.

CAN bus was widely used in embedded system development, but most embedded processors without CAN bus controller, need to extend external CAN bus interface through external bus. In order to send and receive the CAN bus data by S3C2440 chip, interface function of S3C2440 was extended by MCP2515 chip in the paper, which was used the SPI interface to extend CAN bus interface. The design of CAN bus hardware interface was described in the paper. The design of CAN device drive program on the embedded Linux operating system was specified in detail.
