Extrauterine locations of leiomyomas are extremely rare clinical conditions as in the case of space of Retzius. Space of Retzius is a small anatomical compartment located posterior to the pubic symphysis and anterior to the urinary bladder. Here authors report a very unique case of 22-year-old woman presented to the study hospital with complaints of inability to conceive and difficulty in urination. Clinical examination and imaging of pelvis suggest leiomyoma of uterus located between lower part of anterior uterine wall and bladder. An attempt to remove the tumour laparoscopically was taken but later it was converted into open laparotomy due to unusual location of leiomyoma. Histopathology revealed the tumour to be a leiomyoma.

ABSTRACT Purpose The aim of this clinical study was to evaluate some clinical parameters of Empress II restorations luted under clinical conditions with XP Bond in combination with SCA and Calibra cured in self-cure mode after 4 years of clinical service. Materials and methods Fifty-three restorations were placed in 38 patients from March 2006 until April 2006. No patient received more than two restorations. Luting procedures were performed following manufacturers’ instructions. The restorations were evaluated for postoperative sensitivity, marginal discoloration, marginal integrity, secondary caries, maintenance of interproximal contact and fracture at baseline, after 2 weeks, 6 months, 1, 2, 3 and 4 years of clinical service. Results At the 4-year recall 49 restorations were reevaluated. The clinical examination showed that postoperative sensitivity did not affect any restoration. Only 5 restorations of 49 showed bravo score and 2 charlie for marginal integrity/stain.1 restoration showed bravo score at vitality test and another restoration for interproximal contact. Secondary caries, retention and fracture parameters showed alpha scores. Conclusion All the evaluated restorations were in place and acceptable. The postoperative sensitivity recorded after using XP BOND with SCA and Calibra in self-cure mode was clinically acceptable after 4 years of clinical service and no serious endodontic complications were recorded.

Subject. Currently, about 530 types of microorganisms that live in supragingival and subgingival plaque have been discovered. To periodontal pathogens today carry a little more than ten types. The main role in the occurrence of periodontal disease is played by microorganisms included in the “red complex” of BANA+: Porphyromonas gingivalis, Treponema denticola, Tannerella forsythia. With the simultaneous identification of these types can be judged on the high risk of developing periodontal disease. Objective ― calculating the frequency of occurrence of various types of dentition defects of patients with varying severity of periodontal disease, establishing the connection between the severity of periodontal disease and the number of periodontal pathogenic microflora. Methodology. A clinical examination of a patients group which consists of 32 women and 10 men in the age from 38 to 66 years was conducted. Anamnesis was collected using a survey and a special questionnaire. External examination and examination of the oral cavity allowed to find the clinical conditions and anatomical features that leads to periodontal disease’s development. Results. Based on the data of clinical and radiological examination, the patients were divided into three groups according to the severity of periodontal disease. During the clinical examination, we calculated the frequency of occurrence of various types of dentition defects in patients with varying degrees of severity of periodontal disease. Findings. It has been found that the course of chronic generalized periodontitis depends on the number of types of aggressive forms of periodontal pathogens.

The objective of the present study was to report a typical case of obstructive urolithiasis and subsequent rupture of the urinary bladder, causing the death of a non-descriptive male calf. The calves were brought to a teaching veterinary hospital with the symptoms of abdominal pain, the absence of urination manifested by discomfort, straining, kicking at the belly, twisting of the penis and frequent but unsuccessful urination. The clinical examination revealed that the calves were dull, depressed and distension of the abdomen. Post scrotal urethrotomy was performed aseptically and a large calculus was removed from the position of sigmoid flexure of the penis. Another two calves were not subjected to surgery due to their ill health and all were died after 2-3 days. A postmortem examination revealed that the urinary bladder was ruptured and subsequently urine was mixed with peritoneal fluid. A haemorrhagic condition was present at the point of rupture and peritoneum and bladder was adhesion at the point of rupture.

The urachus is a vestigial remnant of the allantois, which is normally obliterated during fetal life to become the median umbilical ligament, which runs between the urinary bladder and umbilicus in adults. Failure of obliteration leaves a tubular urachal remnant, which may present with disease. We report a unique case of a urachal remnant causing umbilical pain and in-drawing on micturition in a nine-year-old boy. There was no urine discharge from the umbilicus and in-drawing did not occur on defecation. His urinary stream was normal. High frequency ultrasonography revealed a thick band with a narrow, anechoic, fluid filled central channel. Exploration via an infraumbilical curvilinear incision identified a thick urachal band that could be traced to the dome of the bladder. This was excised flush with the bladder. The patient remains well at nine months following surgery with complete cessation of symptoms.

The presence of a rhinolith is a rare condition, which can cause long-standing symptoms, such as rhinorrhea, foul-smelling discharge, nasal obstruction, and headache. A rhinolith is usually easily diagnosed by a clinical examination and a paranasal computed tomographic scan. Rhinoliths are usually found in nasal cavities, but rare locations are also possible. We report a patient who was evaluated in our clinic for nasal obstruction, headache, and snoring symptoms. A clinical examination showed no major findings, but a paranasal computed tomographic scan of coronal sections showed a hyperdense mass within the right concha bullosa. A rhinolith in the concha bullosa is a rare condition. Our case is the third case of a rhinolith in the concha bullosa to be reported in the literature.
