Fraud of fake halal label products does not open halal production processes about the supply chain from upstream to downstream. Therefore, in product integrity agreements, it is necessary to implement traceability in the food supply chain as an effective tool in ensuring product halalness and ensuring food products are safe. Therefore, this study tries to make a model of halal Supply Chain Traceability in the integrity agreement of halal food products. The method used in modeling the halal supply chain traceability system using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). Elements of a halal supply chain tracking system, in addition to halal procurement, halal manufacturing, halal logistics, halal distribution, supplier traceability, producer traceability, logistics traceability, distribution traceability. ISM Modeling results in the integration of halal products are located in Quadran IV Driver Power with halal manufacturing, producer traceability, supplier traceability, Quadran III Strong-Very Driver Depends on Variables (Linkage), Traceability system elements of the halal supply chain that are in accordance with this Quadran will be sought integrity of halal products and has strong advantages as a driver, this quadrant contains halal procurement, traceability distribution, halal logistics. Whereas the halal supply chain traceability system that is not related to the integrity of halal products comes in. Quadran II Driver Power namely: halal logistics and distribution traceability.

Purpose Muslim consumers have been shocked with the news of cross-contamination issues in the Halal food that they consumed. These issues make them put more effort in ensuring the products that they purchased being monitored throughout the supply chain. In this case, food companies must be prepared to implement systematic traceability system to ensure the authenticity of Halal products and comprehend the importance of Halal industry environmental factors (HIEF) in enhancing integrity of Halal food supply chain and protect from any risk of cross-contaminations. This paper aims to clarify the relationship between the Halal traceability system adoption (HTSA) and HIEFs on Halal food supply chain integrity (HFSCIn). Design/methodology/approach The study opted quantitative research approach by using the self-administrated questionnaires. The questionnaires were distributed during Malaysia International Halal Showcase (MIHAS) 2014 and Halal Fiesta Malaysia (HALFEST) 2014. 127 Malaysian Halal food and beverages companies have been involved in the study. Most of the respondents are the general manager or owner of the company, Halal executives, quality assurance managers, operation managers and sales manager. Findings The study found that there is a significant relationship between HTSA and HIEF on HFSCIn. The study also found that the highest adoptions of Halal traceability system are among the producer and end user, while the highest contributions in influencing the HIEF are the economic and socio-cultural factors. Research limitations/implications This study only focused on Halal food industry particularly the food and beverages category. Thus, future study can explore further on every category in food industry such as raw materials and ingredients; poultry, meat and dairy; fast food and premises and make comparison between pharmaceutical, cosmetics and health care in Halal industry. In addition, the sample size (N = 127) can be considered small; therefore, it is recommended that in future the subject matter be explored with a much larger sample to allow generalization of the result. Originality/value This study provided, perhaps for the first time, an analysis of the relationship between traceability adoptions and HIEF on HFSCIn.

Food traceability has an important role in maintaining the sustainability of the food supply chain. Every player in a food supply chain must be able to create an internal and external traceability so that the chain traceability can be formed. However, building a suitable food traceability system is not an easy task. The development of a food traceability system has been identified as a complex problem due to the difficulty of accommodating the varied characteristics of each stage in the food supply chain and the interdependence between stages in the food supply chain. Therefore, to solve these complex problems a multimethodology approach is proposed. The multimethodology approach is believed to be able to solve complex multidimensional problems. This article describes a framework for multimethodology in the development of a food traceability system that involves the integration of the Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory and Interpretive Structural Modeling (DEMATEL-ISM) and System Dynamics (SD). The vegetable oil industry which manages its products in bulk is an interesting case study for the development of a food traceability system because the upstream is in the commodity focused chain and the downstream is in the consumer driven value chain. Ultimately, the multi-methodological framework proved effective in answering the research question of "How to develop a suitable traceability system for the bulk vegetable oil industry?"

Produk halal saat ini telah menjadi suatu trend di seluruh dunia, baik itu di negara muslim ataupun negara non-muslim. Tidak kurang dari USD650 juta transaksi produk halal terjadi di setiap tahunnya di berbagai negara diseluruh dunia. Bagi umat Muslim, mengkonsumsi produk halal baik itu dari makanan atau produk lainnya merupakan sebuah kewajiban. Untuk mempermudah konsumen mengetahui bahwa makanan yang di konsumsi tersebut halal atau tidak, baik itu makanan dalam kemasan maka dapat dilihat dari label halal yang tertera pada kemasan makanan tersebut. Pengertian Halal merupakan sesuatu yang tidak mengandung unsur ataupun bahan yang dikatakan haram atau dilarang untuk dikonsumsi oleh umat Islam, dan pengolahannya produk tersebut tidak bertentangan dengan syariat Islam. Traceability halal dapat digunakan sebagai media untuk melacak status kehalalan dari suatu produk makanan, dengan cara merekam semua informasi kegiatan dalam menghasilkan produk mulai hulu yaitu asal usul bahan baku sampai dengan hilir. Review literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem Traceability pada rantai pasok pangan halal. Secara khusus pembahasan meliputi definisi secara umum berkaitan dengan pangan halal, rantai pasok pangan halal dan Traceability pangan halal.   Halal products are now becoming a trend of consumption throughout the world, both in Muslim and non-Muslim countries. No less than USD650 million of halal product transactions occur every year. For Muslims consuming halal products is an obligation. To make it easier to find out which foods are consumed halal especially in packaged foods, it can be seen from the halal label listed on the food packaging. The definition of Halal is that it does not contain illicit ingredients or ingredients or is prohibited for consumption by Muslims, and its processing does not conflict with Islamic law. Halal halability can be used as a medium to track the halal status of a food product, by recording all information on activities in producing products from upstream, namely the origin of raw materials to downstream. This literature review aims to determine the Traceability system in the halal food supply chain. Specifically the discussion includes general definitions relating to halal food, halal food supply chain and halal food traceability.
