In this paper, we deal with the real options analysis of selected investment projects. This approach is supplemented and compared to calculations of the net present value (NPV). Two research problems are analyzed: acquisition of the simulation software for the foundry industry in the sense of the expansive options and options on leaving the project in the case of acquisition of the spectrometer. For the option valuation, there were used analytical and numerical methods like the Black-Scholes model, binomial model and Monte Carlo simulations. In the case of binomial pricing model we used modification describing the behavior of the project’s cash-flow (CF) due to capacity of the company, path-dependent addiction and embedded option barrier. To extend the application of the real options analysis, we propose procedures for sensitivity analysis and option pricing based on Monte Carlo simulations for particular case of stochastic volatility.

Abstract Reasoning is the iterative, path-dependent process of asking questions and answering them. Moral reasoning is a species of such reasoning, so it is a matter of asking and answering moral questions, which requires both creativity and curiosity. As such, interventions and practices that help people ask more and better moral questions promise to improve moral reasoning.

The concept of entrepreneurial orientation, which emerges with the development of strategic management, refers to entrepreneurship orientations of businesses. The businesses need resources in other words organizational slack in order to develop their entrepreneurial trends. The organizational slack consists of three slack type. These slack types are available slack, recoverable slack and potential slack. The purpose of this study is to examine whether organizational slack in the businesses has an effect on entrepreneurial orientation. The relationship between organizational slack and entrepreneurial orientation was investigated through 20 companies that were traded in Borsa Istanbul Corporate Governance Index for 2010-2014 period using panel data analysis method. The results of the study indicate the existence of a statistically significant relationship between and the available slack and the recoverable slack with the entrepreneurial orientation in the businesses. According to findings; there was no statistically significant relationship between potential slack and entrepreneurial orientation.
