In this research the assessment of the processes green supply chain management for corporate financial performance improvement. This research was based on the company goal to achieve profit by lowering the risk and environmental impact while improving the ecological efficiency by implementing green supply chain management in order to improve the company's financial performance. The method used in this research is a Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM). The management process of the company was done with by giving weight to the indicators of the green supply chain and measuring supply chain performance by using AHP method. Then compared with the acquired real weight of the Green SCOR model. While to measuring the financial performance of the company to know the position of the company by using ROA and EVA calculation that exist in the methods of Du Pont Ratio Analysis. The results of this research is a decision system information which is capable of linking green supply chain performance with the company's financial performance. The results of the analysis indicated that the supplying, making, delivering and returning are very sustainable. The assessment result shows 87.3% of companies have increased the company's financial and 12.7% companies’ efficiency. This information system can be developed to assist the manager in the company's decision-making started from the sustainable design.  This research method can be developed to assess the extent of each indicator of the supply chain performance related to the financial strategies.

Background: The implementation of green supply chain management activities as a business strategy remains unfamiliar to many small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries such as South Africa. Setting: Implementation of green supply chain management activities by South African SMEs is necessary, given both the high failure rate of such enterprises in the country and the proven ability of such activities to promote the success of businesses. Aim: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between green supply chain management activities, operational performance and supply chain performance in manufacturing SMEs in South Africa. Methods: Data were collected from 219 manufacturing SMEs operating within Gauteng. A confirmatory factor analysis was conducted to assess the psychometric properties of measurement scales. Hypotheses were tested using structural equation modelling. Results: Four green supply chain management activities, namely green purchasing, reverse logistics, environmental collaboration with suppliers and green manufacturing, exerted a positive influence on operational performance. Environmental collaboration with suppliers exerted the highest influence on operational performance when compared to green purchasing, reverse logistics and green manufacturing. In turn, operational performance exerted a strong positive influence on supply chain performance. Conclusion: The results of the study suggest that manufacturing SMEs in developing countries could benefit by adopting green supply chain management activities, with improvements being realised in terms of increases in both operational and supply chain performance.

Nowadays, the Hayuningrum Batik Industry keeps trying to optimize the production of batik cloth until the batik cloth can be accepted by consumers, but the Hayuningrum Batik Industry lacks awareness about environmental issues. One effort that can be taken is by measuring the performance of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM). This study aims to calculate and analyze GSCM performance in the Hayuningrum Batik Industry in the year 2020 and provide proposed improvement to improve GSCM performance in the Hayuningrum Batik Industry located in Laweyan, Surakarta. The method used are the Green Supply Chain Operation Reference (Green SCOR) model approach, weighting with the Analytical Hierachy Process (AHP) method, and normalization using the Snorm de Boer formula. Based on research conducted, 26 Key Performance Indicators (KPI) have been verified. The KPI is weighted using the AHP method. Then, the normalization score has been calculated for each indicator. The results of these measurements show the value of GSCM performance in the Hayuningrum Batik Industry of 57.42, which means that the performance is classified as Average. Therefore, the Hayuningrum Batik Industry need to improve their performance. The proposed improvement is given to each indicator in the Hayuningrum Batik Industry that need to be prioritized for improvement.

PurposeThis study investigates the relationships between environmental performance feedback and green supply chain management (GSCM). It explores how environmental performance above or below aspirations affects the implementation of GSCM practices (specifically sustainable production [SP] and sustainable sourcing [SS]) through the lens of the behavioral theory of the firm (BTOF), which has received scant attention in the operations management literature.Design/methodology/approachThe study used data from the sixth round of the International Manufacturing Strategy Survey (IMSS). It employed hierarchical linear regression to test the proposed hypotheses. Moreover, the study tested an alternate model to rule out the possible role of financial performance aspirations in explaining the implementation of SP and SS.FindingsThe results indicate that organizations determine their efforts put into the two GSCM practices according to environmental performance feedback: the greater the aspiration–environmental performance discrepancy, the stronger the efforts put into implementing GSCM practices.Originality/valueThis study contributes to the GSCM literature by revealing the impact of environmental performance aspirations on the implementation of GSCM practices through the lens of the BTOF. It also extends the BTOF by applying it in the GSCM context and indicating that performance feedback is based on environmental performance instead of financial performance in this specific context.

This study examines the effect of IT application on the supply chain performance through green supply chain management in the Food and Beverage Industry in Surabaya. Data collection is conducted using questionnaires designed with a five-point Likert scale. From 70 questionnaires distributed, 64 were considered valid for further analysis. Data analysis uses the SEM-PLS technique with SmartPLS software version 3.0. This study assesses the extent to which the corporate apply IT and adopt the green supply chain management in improving the supply chain performance. The results of this study indicate that the use of IT applications influences supply chain performance. The IT application affects the green supply chain management. Green supply chain management affects the supply chain management. One of the interesting findings is that the IT application indirectly affects supply chain performance through green supply chain management. The findings of this study provide an insight for the manager on how to improve supply chain management. This research also contributes to the on-going research in the field of supply chain management.
