ABSTRACT Article aims to integrate New Developmentalism with Ecological View by means of the concepts of Ecological Structural Change (ESC) and Eco-Developmental Class-Coalition (EDCC). ESC means to increase the share of green manufacturing sector in GDP and employment for increasing the environmental efficiency of the economy. Exchange rate overvaluation caused by Dutch disease and growth with foreign savings can harm green manufacturing industries even more than brown manufacturing industries. ESC needs the existence of an EDCC that can be made difficult to occur if exchange rate over-valuation is not removed through taxes over commodities exports, capital controls and a dual mandate for the Central Bank.

Abstract BackgroundBear bile powder is a precious natural material characterized by high content of tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) at a ratio of 1.00–1.50 to taurochenodeoxycholic acid (TCDCA).ResultsIn this study, we use the crude enzymes from engineered Saccharomyces cerevisiae to directional convert TCDCA from chicken bile powder to TUDCA at the committed ratio in vitro. This S. cerevisiae strain was modified with heterologous 7α-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (7α-HSDH) and 7β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (7β-HSDH) genes. S. cerevisiae host and HSDH gene combinatorial optimization and response surface methodology was applied to get the best engineered strain and the optimal biotransformation condition, respectively, under which 10.99 ± 0.16 g/L of powder products containing 36.73±6.68 % of TUDCA and 28.22±6.05 % of TCDCA were obtained using 12.00 g/L of chicken bile powder as substrate.ConclusionThis study provides a healthy and environmentally friendly way to produce potential alternative resource for bear bile powder from cheap and readily available chicken bile powder, and also gives a reference for the green manufacturing of other rare and endangered animal-derived valuable resource.

Purpose This study aims to polymerize of 1-butyl-3-vinylimidazolium bromide (PIL). PIL was embedded into PVA with a different content ratio by casting method. This research also deals with the effect of adding PIL in different proportions to PVA on the electrical and mechanical properties properties in addition to the morphology of the prepared samples. Design/methodology/approach 1-Butyl-3-vinylimidazolium bromide was synthesized through quaternization and free radical polymerization. The resulting polymer was characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis and differential scanning calorimetry. In addition to the morphology of PVA, PVA/PIL was investigated by polarizing microscope. Also, the effect of PIL content on the electrical and mechanical properties was evaluated. Findings The findings of this study might lead to new applications for PVA and PILs in electrical and dielectrics. The mechanical results revealed that the tensile strength increased slightly with increasing polyionic liquid (PIL) content and decreased above 10% PIL. While the elongation at break increased significantly with increasing PIL content and begin to decrease above 10% PIL. Also, the electrical property of the poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/PIL blends was improved because of the strong plasticizing effect of PIL. Also, the electrical conductivity of these polymer electrolytes is greatly increased. This indicates that the imidazolium-based PIL has an effective approach that leads to an increase in the conductivity of the polymer. The PILs/PVA design will not only enrich the chemical structure but also will contribute to green manufacturing techniques and a processing methodology that enables green membrane manufacture. Originality/value This study contributes to green manufacturing techniques and a processing methodology that enables “green” membrane manufacture.

The manufacturing process is inevitably accompanied with the production of scraps, which leads to resource waste and environmental pollution. Recycling and remanufacturing are the most commonly used approaches for metal scraps due to their well-established advantages from economic and environmental perspectives. In this study, spinning experiments with 2195 Al-Li alloy tailor welded blanks produced by friction stir welding from metal scraps were conducted under different process parameter designs. And then the effects of various process parameters on spinning of thin-walled curved surface parts were systematically studied. The results of the corresponding experimental groups show that the roller attack angle, the spinning clearance, and the installation method of tailor welded blanks have the most significant effect on the weld torsion angle. In addition, it was found that along the longitude direction of spun parts, the surface roughnesses of the weld of spun parts were greatly improved under the roller nose radius of 10 mm, the spinning clearance of 1.0 mm, the constant linear velocity, and the installation method of tailor welded blanks (the lower surface of tailor welded blanks is spun by rollers), while the process parameters have little significant effect on the surface roughness along the latitude direction of spun parts. Furthermore, it can be concluded that the forming profiles of spun parts fitted the mandrel well under the roller nose radius of 6 mm, double rollers, the roller attack angle of 30° and 45°, spinning clearance of 1.5 mm, and the installation method of tailor welded blanks (the upper surface of tailor welded blanks is spun by rollers). The research results will provide guidance for the precise spinning of thin-walled curved surface parts with tailor welded blanks. Thereby, it is also beneficial for green manufacturing involving recycling and remanufacturing of metal scraps.
