We deal with a regular Dirac system which has discontinuities at two points and contains eigenparameter in a boundary condition and two transmission conditions. We investigate asymptotic behaviour of eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions of this Dirac system and construct Green’s function.

The eigenvalues of a discontinuous regular Dirac systems with transmission conditions at the point of discontinuity are computed using the sinc-Gaussian method. The error analysis of this method for solving discontinuous regular Dirac system is discussed. It shows that the error decays exponentially in terms of the number of involved samples. Therefore, the accuracy of the new method is higher than the classical sinc-method. Numerical results indicating the high accuracy and effectiveness of these algorithms are presented. Comparisons with the classical sinc-method are given.

We introduce a new type of discontinuous Sturm-Liouville problems, involving an abstract linear operator in equation. By suggesting own approaches we define some new Hilbert spaces to establish such properties as isomorphism, coerciveness, and maximal decreasing of resolvent operator with respect to spectral parameter. Then we find sufficient conditions for discreteness of the spectrum and examine asymptotic behaviour of eigenvalues. Obtained results are new even for continuous case, that is, without transmission conditions.

This chapter describes the construction of a resolvent operator using the Laplace transform of a parametrix for the heat kernel and a perturbative argument. In the equation (μ‎-L) R(μ‎) f = f, R(μ‎) is a right inverse for (μ‎-L). In Hölder spaces, these are the natural elliptic estimates for generalized Kimura diffusions. The chapter first constructs the resolvent kernel using an induction over the maximal codimension of bP, and proves various estimates on it, along with corresponding estimates for the solution operator for the homogeneous Cauchy problem. It then considers holomorphic semi-groups and uses contour integration to construct the solution to the heat equation, concluding with a discussion of Kimura diffusions where all coefficients have the same leading homogeneity.

This work concerns the study of the controllability for some impulsive partial functional integrodifferential equation with infinite delay in Banach spaces. We give sufficient conditions that ensure the controllability of the system by supposing that its undelayed part admits a resolvent operator in the sense of Grimmer, and by making use of the measure of noncompactness and the Mönch fixed-point Theorem. As a result, we obtain a generalization of the work of K. Balachandran and R. Sakthivel (Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 255, 447-457, (2001)) and a host of important results in the literature, without assuming the compactness of the resolvent operator. An example is given for illustration.

AbstractIn this work, we present existence of mild solutions for partial integro-differential equations with state-dependent nonlocal local conditions. We assume that the linear part has a resolvent operator in the sense given by Grimmer. The existence of mild solutions is proved by means of Kuratowski’s measure of non-compactness and a generalized Darbo fixed point theorem in Fréchet space. Finally, an example is given for demonstration.
