This paper presents GIS-based methodology for urban area driving cycle construction. The approach reaches beyond the frames of usual driving cycle development methods and takes into account another perspective of data collection. Rather than planning data collection, the approach is based on available in-vehicle measurement data post processing using Geographic Information Systems to manipulate the excessive database and extract only the representative and geographically limited individual trip data. With such data post processing the data was carefully adjusted to include only the data that describe representative driving in Ljubljana urban area. The selected method for the driving cycle development is based on searching for the best microtrips combination while minimizing the difference between two vectors; one based on generated cycle and the other on the database. Accounting for a large random sample of actual trip data, our approach enables more representative area-specific driving cycle development than the previously used techniques.

The modeling method of 3-dimensional garment model form is the key for the 3-dimensional garment design system. The modeling method of model form will directly have effects on the complexity and presentation effects of the latter design of garment styles. It is also closely related to the garment 3-dimensional al imitation and simulation as well as the transformation relation between 3-dimension and 2-dimension. Therefore, the modeling method of 3-dimensional garment model form is much worthy to study and has a good application prospect.

The largest 3-dimensional vibration test facility is planning to build in Hyogo pref. The objectives of this facility are to investigate the process of the collapsing phenomena of a full-scale structure under the earthquake. At the design stage, it’s impossible to make sure the performance without the numerical simulation. Therefore, the mathematical simulation model was accurately constructed, and the simulation was performed. This paper describes as follows. (1) The modeling method of the 3-dimensional vibration test system. (2) The verification of the modeling method based on the measured data by using the prototype test facilities. (3) The verification results based on the condition of a collapsing phenomena of the full-scale building.

Semantic feature modeling is a new trend of CAD technology. It is very important for modifying and editing models automatically and semi-automatically. In this paper, a semantic feature modeling method is proposed, in which geometric constraints of models are solved. The new method is history-independent. At the same time, the architecture of semantic feature modeling is given. According to the principles of 3 dimensional rigid bodies, basic geometric constraints can be expressed. Experiment results show an instance modeled by the proposed method.
