A novel fluorescent determination of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) based on the derivatives of calix[4]arene (SAX) in ?-cyclodextrin(?-CD)/ sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) synergistic sensitized system was developed. The results were shown that the fluorescence intensity of SAX could be quenched by 2,4-D, and the fluorescence quenching (?F=FSAX-F2,4-D -SAX) was synergistic sensitized in ?-CD/ SDS medium. Under the conditions of ?ex/em=332/468 nm and pH 7.0, the linear range for 2,4-D were found to be 0.020-4.00 ?g/mL. The mechanism of determination was discussed with quenching type analysis, inclusion interaction and sensitizing effect. This method has been applied for the determination of 2,4-D in vegetable samples with satisfactory results.

An electroanalytical methodology was developed for the direct determination of the herbicide 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) using a graphite-polyurethane composite electrode and square wave voltammetry (SWV). 2,4-D exhibited one reduction peak with characteristics of an irreversible process at −0.54 V (versus Ag/AgCl), which is controlled by the diffusion of the reagent on the electrode surface. After the experimental parameters optimization (pH 2.0,f=50 s−1,a=0.50 V, andΔEi=0.03 V), analytical curves were constructed in the range of 0.66 mg L−1to 2.62  mg L−1. Detection (LD) and quantification (LQ) limits were 17.6 μg L−1and 58.6 μg L−1, respectively. The methodology was successfully applied to measure the percolation of the herbicide 2,4-D in undisturbed soil columns of different granulometric compositions.

Mitochondrial derivatives of insect sperm usually contain a crystalline protein that shows a 45-nm main period, made up of 20-nm subperiods, determined by the coiling of filament bundles. Filaments are 2 nm thick and have a globular appearance. The crystals contain two main polypeptides, 52,000 and 55,000 daltons. These polypeptides are closely related, contain a high percentage of proline, and are insoluble in sodium dodecyl sulfate due to disulfide cross links. We suggest for this class of protein the name crystallomitin.

Abstract An accurate, rapid, simple, and novel technique was developed to determine simvastatin (SMV). In this research, a screen-printed electrode (SPE) was deposited with graphene oxide (GO) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), respectively. For the first time, the handmade modified SPE measured the SMV by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) with high sensitivity and selectivity. The results of cyclic voltammetry indicated the oxidation irreversible process of SMV. Various parameters (pH, concentration, scan rate, support electrolyte) were performed to optimize the conditions for the determination of SMV. Under the optimum experiment condition of 0.1 M KNO3 as support electrolyte and pH 7.0, the linear range was achieved for SMV concentration from 1.8 to 36.6 µM with a limit of detection (LOD), and a limit of quantitation (LOQ) of 0.06 and 1.8 µM, respectively. The proposed method was successfully utilized to determine SMV in tablets and urine samples with a satisfactory recovery in the range of 96.2 to 103.3%.

The paper presents the results of optimizing the conditions for the chromatographic determination of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and deltamethrin for two capillary columns (Supelcosil LC-18, Kromasil C-18). The modes of individual chromatography of pesticides were selected. The use of the isocratic elution mode in the joint presence of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid and deltamethrin was shown and experimentally proved to be invalid. Three options were proposed for the conditions of the gradient mode of the separate detection of analytes in a mixture. The developed technique for the chromatographic separate determination of 2,4-D and deltamethrin with their joint presence was tested via analysis of river water and potato samples.
