Bluetooth is a  wireless technology that is used for the exchange of information over a network for short separations. It is a low controlled, short range application. It utilizes Bluetooth to convey to other Bluetooth-empowered gadgets because it is a communication protocol. Bluetooth resembles some other correspondence convention that you utilize each day, for example, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, or IMAP. Bluetooth is designed to connect with monitor and mouse without any connection with CPU. Different kinds of Bluetooth gadgets are headsets, Bluetooth prepared printer, in-auto Bluetooth framework, Bluetooth gps framework, Bluetooth console, Bluetooth prepared webcam and so on. Bluetooth advancement tends to an open entryway for the business to pass on remote arrangements that are unavoidable over an expansive scope of gadgets. The constraints and properties of Bluetooth scatter presents remarkable troubles in framing a system in which all devices communicate with each other directly. In this paper, detailed description of Bluetooth along with its working is given. Description also includes connection protocols of the Bluetooth, usage models, advantages and dis-advantages. Further, various applications of the Bluetooth wireless technology are portrayed.

Impulse Radio - Ultra Wideband (IR-UWB) is a wireless technology system that offers a high data rate within a short range. Therefore, IR-UWB system is regarded as an excellent physical layer solution to the multi-piconet Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) applications. In spite of all the advantages of IR-UWB, there are several fundamental and practical challenges that need to be carefully addressed. The big and most important one among these challenges is the interference. Two types of Rake receivers are designed and simulated to highly mitigate the MUI these are (PRake receiver) and (SRake receiver).

Basing on the research of the network structure of the control system of the smart home and the characteristic of the wireless technology of the Bluetooth, it proposes an implementation of the control system of the smart home basing on the Bluetooth technology, builds the communication protocol architecture of the control subnet in smart home, and develops the smart home controller basing on the ARM9 S3C2440. In the control system of the smart home, it can implement the log, control, add, remove and other basic operations of the control sub net in the smart home system towards the household electrical appliances.

The communication is done in between cars that is based on the short range wireless technology. It become safety road and travel comfort using ad-hoc network. We see the different to communication mode in car network. Also we see the Geo networking with car network. IPv6 is considered as the most appropriate technologies to support communication in VANET thanks to its extended address space, enhanced mobility support, ease of configuration and embedded security.

One of the main problems for farmers is the protection of their crops, before and after harvesting, from animals and birds. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes a model of safe farming in which the crops will be protected from vertebrates’ attack through a prevention system that is based on Wirelesses Sensors Networks. Different sensor nodes are placed around the field that detect animals or birds’ existence and generate required signals and information. This information is passed to the Repelling and Notifying System (RNS) that is installed at the field through a short range wireless technology, ZigBee. As RNS receives the information, it generates ultrasonic sounds that are unbearable for animals and birds, which causes them to run away from the field. These ultrasonic sounds are generated in a frequency range that only animals and birds can hear, while humans cannot notice the sound. The paper also proposes a notifying system. It will inform the farmer about animals or birds’ intrusion in the field through SMS, but doesn’t need any action from the farmer. The low cost and power efficiency of the proposed system is a key advantage for developing countries where cost and power are major players in any system feasibility.

With the latest standard releases, Bluetooth technology is becoming more and more relevant for building and industrial automation. At the same time, Bluetooth is now becoming fundamental for contact tracing applications, to support monitoring and containment of the COVID-19 pandemic. Critical facilities such as nursing homes and hospitals have been severely exposed to the pandemic, but the currently available short-range wireless technology still faces the fundamental limits of proximity accuracy, battery lifetime, and privacy in those complex indoor environments. The aim of this paper is to investigate effective ways of building an architecture with heterogeneous devices to support contact tracing in critical scenarios such as healthcare facilities, while meeting the required level of accuracy and privacy. A framework based on standard Bluetooth mesh networking technology is proposed, and the research challenges are discussed.
