AbstractMarch 2020 has become a moment of change in communication mode and quality. Previously, the media paid attention to the current affairs, however, never earlier the journalistic discourse has been so influentially affected by the ongoing phenomenon as in the case of COVID-19. Almost overnight the new terminological phenomena with specific legal or medical reference were introduced into everyday language mainly via mass media and become an important part of a pandemic related narration. The strong influence on the shape of the mentioned linguistic changes has mainly the adoption of new legal regulations due to the unexpected outbreak of the pandemic. The aim of the following paper is to investigate how COVID-19 pandemic affected the specialisation of the journalistic discourse and how different domains (law, medicine) are being influenced by new terminology and in other way round, how for example law and medicine influence new “COVID language”. In order to take the interdisciplinary nature of the issue into account, the degree of hybridity of the selected texts will be examined by means of selected material analysis. The methodology applied in the paper uses an empirical approach and comparative analysis. The material used for the analysis comes from the selected Polish quality and boulevard press. The paper concerns the linguistic influence of the “invisible enemy” on the language presented in press. The main findings reveal the intense use of neologisms, borrowings, and it shows that the discourse was changed linguistically thanks to Student’s t-test.

This paper compare  the accurecy of HF propagation  prediction programs for  HF circuits links between Iraq and  different points world wide  during August 2018 when  solar cycle 24 (start 2009 end 2020) is at minimun activity and also find out the best communication mode  used. The prediction   programs like Voice of America Coverage Analysis Program (VOACAP) and ITU Recommendation RS 533 (REC533 )  had been used to generat HF circuit link  parameters like Maximum Usable Frequency ( MUF) and Frequency of Transsmision (FOT) .Depending  on the predicted parameters (data)  , real radio contacts had been done using a radio transceiver from Icom  model IC 7100 with 100W RF power, tuner box and homemade  dipole antenna of 10 m length and  8m height above ground. From  correlation between the predicted data and observed data  the result was not accurate .

The purpose is to improve the power and innovate the communication mode of mainstream I&P (Ideological and Political) education in C&U (Colleges and Universities). The opportunities and challenges that I&P education is facing or will face in media times are analyzed from three factors: the subjective, the mediator, and the environment, which affect the power of mainstream I&P in C&U. Educational means, carriers, resources, places and times, and the interactions between educators and the educated can bring opportunities for the improvement of the educational power of C&U. However, there are great challenges in all aspects of the mainstream ideology, such as education methods, education ideas, education content, education leadership and discourse power, and network public opinion control. Finally, a series of measures are proposed to improve the power of mainstream I&P education in C&U in media times, and they are updating the concept of media education, strengthening the ideological guidance, ensuring the direction of mainstream I&P education, and optimizing the media environment so that a more perfect innovative mode of I&P education is constructed. The research enriches and develops the theory of mainstream I&P education in C&U, innovates the methods of mainstream I&P education in C&U, and enhances the power of mainstream I&P education.

Background: Social communication (SC) includes the use and interpretation of verbal and non-verbal messages within a social context and thus requires more than knowledge of language. Social communication skills are essential for connecting and engaging with others, and SC deficits are often associated with emotional and behavioral problems. There is a lack of feasible instruments for assessing SC skills in individuals with intellectual disability (ID).Methods: A questionnaire on social communication in adults with ID (QSC-ID) comprising 20 Likert-scaled items was developed and completed on behalf of participants (n = 52) from three Austrian therapeutic living communities for people with ID and deafness by their living- and working-facility key caregivers. The sample of adults with hearing loss was considered ideal for the development of a measure of SC that is not restricted to a specific communication mode or overly related with language skills. Results: The preliminary results showed high construct validity. Correlations were high between SC and language, social skills, and severity of autism spectrum disorder (ASD), moderate between SC and adaptive skills, and non-verbal intelligence and, as expected, low between SC and motor skills. Interrater reliability was found to be good or at least acceptable for all items. Total raw scores were well-distributed over the whole range—Cut-offs based on the 10th and 20th percentile are suggested to identify atypical and borderline SC skills. Caregiver feedback and completeness of data suggest that the questionnaire is highly feasible. Conclusion: Questionnaire on social communication in adults with ID is an easy-to-use caregiver-reported questionnaire for use with individuals with mild to severe forms of ID. Initial testing of validity looks promising. Further validation in populations with typical hearing is required. Due to substantial correlations between SC and structural language skills the calculation of specific SC cut-offs for different levels of linguistic skills should be considered when sufficient data is available.

With the continuous development of traditional media in China, talents in the media industry continue to emerge, and the continuous updating and upgrading of media accelerate the rapid integration of media carriers, making the birth of " Fusion Media”. With the rapid update and iteration of financial media, it can be widely disseminated and applied. While the traditional media industry is impacted by financial media, it also faces new challenges and opportunities. Therefore, in the rapid development of the media industry, traditional media needs to innovate the old communication mode and content. Broadcasting and hosting professionals as the link and bridge between the masses and the media, such changes also put forward more stringent requirements on the professional ability of broadcasting and hosting professionals, and the form and content of the work has become more diversified. Hence, in order to cope with the advent of the fusion media era, it is also important to improve one's professionalism and practical skills. How can these competencies be further enhanced to meet the needs of today's media industry and the public, and what are some examples of successful transformations in the media industry? To address these questions, this paper first analyses the changes in the broadcasting industry in the context of media convergence, and then further explores the competencies that broadcasting professionals need to possess in the era of "Fusion Media". Recommendations are also provided correspondingly in the last section of this paper as well.

Abstract MOOCs have achieved great development in the last five to seven years. However, MOOCs present unique features of their own which distinguish themselves from the traditional classroom interaction. In this article, in order to find out the factors influencing the design of successful MOOCs, we examined the communication mode of MOOCs from the perspective of symbolic interactionism by combining the features of the communication mode of MOOCs as well as that of the traditional classroom interaction. Multiple linear regression analysis was conducted on 280 sample MOOCs from the foreign language courses category of a major Chinese MOOCs platform. The findings indicate that providing options for comprehension, providing options for self-regulation, coherence and temporal contiguity are the key factors for a successful design of MOOCs.

Abstract Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are considered to play critical roles in intercellular communications during normal and pathological processes since they are enriched with miRNAs and other signal molecules. In bone remodeling, osteoclasts generate large amounts of sEVs. However, there is very little research about whether and how osteoclast-derived sEVs (OC-sEVs) affect surrounding cells. In our study, microarray analysis identified miR-106a-5p highly enriched in OC-sEV. Further experiments confirmed that OC-sEVs inhibited Fam134a through miR-106a-5p and significantly promoted bone mesenchymal stem cell (BMSC) osteogenic mineralization in vitro. Next, we prepared sEV-modified demineralized bone matrix (DBM) as a repair scaffold, and used a calvarial defect mouse model to evaluate the pro-osteogenic activities of the scaffold. In vivo result indicated DBM modified with miR-106a-5p-sEVs showed an enhanced capacity of bone regeneration. This important finding further emphasizes that sEV-mediated miR-106a-5p transfer play critical roles in osteogenesis and indicate a novel communication mode between osteoclasts and BMSCs.
