ZnO:Fe thin films has been successfully carried out by a simple spray pyrolysis method. The thin film was grown on ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) substrate with a metal-semiconductor-metal (MSM) structure. ZnO:Fe thin film characters as photodetector application include morphological structure, and electrical properties. SEM image results show the molarity difference can affect the particle size. The Current-Voltage (I-V) characterization shows that different solvent effects and molarity give different sensitivity. Sample ZnO:Fe 0.5M Ethanol has the highest sensitivity compared to other samples because it has a fairly low current and high bright current.

A thin film composed of an ion-exchangeable layered oxide HxTi(2-x/4)⃞x/4O4(HTiO) (where the open square, ⃞, is vacancy) is studied as an electrode material. The thin film prepared on an indium tin oxide substrate functions as an electrode for the redox reaction of Ru(bpy)32+/Ru(bpy)33+without noticeable degradation. Lack of reaction in the presence of Fe(CN)64−/Fe(CN)63−indicates that reaction on this electrode occurs in the interlayers between titanate sheets. A Ru(bpy)32+-intercalated form of the electrode generates photocurrent under visible light irradiation.

AbstractThe current voltage characteristics of C60 thin film sandwich structures fabricated by vacuum deposition on indium tin oxide (ITO) with an aluminium top electrode are presented and discussed. A strongly non-linear behavior and a sharp increase in the device conductivity was observed at relatively low voltages (∼2V), at both room and low temperatures (20K). At room temperature the system is seen to collapse, and in situ Raman measurements indicate a solid state reduction of the fullerene thin film to form a polymeric state. The high conductivity state was seen to be stable at elevated voltages and low temperatures. This state is seen to be reversible with the application of high voltages. At these high voltages the C60 film was seen to sporadically emit white light at randomly localized points analogous to the much documented Electroluminescence in single crystals.
