Abstract In this paper, we prove some common fixed point theorems satisfying contractive type mapping in the setting of b-metric spaces. The presented theorem is an extension the results of M. Sarwar and M. U. Rahman [23] as well as a generalization of many well-known results in the literature through the context of b-metric spaces. Also, we present a few examples to illustrate the validity of the results obtained in the paper. Finally, results are applied to find the solution for an integral equation.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of cyclic ( α , β ) - ( ψ , φ ) s -rational-type contraction in b-metric spaces, and using this contraction, we prove common fixed point theorems. Our work generalizes many existing results in the literature. In order to highlight the usefulness of our results, applications to functional equations are given.

We prove some common fixed point theorems for two pairs of weakly compatible mappings satisfying a rational type contractive condition in the framework of complex valued metric spaces. The proved results generalize and extend some of the known results in the literature.

Samet et. al. (Nonlinear Anal. 75, 2012, 2154-2165) introduced the concept of alpha-psi-contractive type mappings in metric spaces. In 2013, Alghamdi et. al. [2] introduced the concept of G-β--contractive type mappings in G-metric spaces. Our aim is to introduce new concept of generalized G-η-χ-contractive pair of mappings. Further, we study some fixed point theorems for such mappings in complete G-metric spaces. As an application, we further establish common fixed point theorems for G-metric spaces for cyclic contractive mappings.

Fixed-point theory in complex valued metric spaces has greatly developed in recent times. In this paper, we prove certain common fixed-point theorems for two single-valued mappings in such spaces. The mappings we consider here are assumed to satisfy certain metric inequalities with generalized fixed-point theorems due to Rouzkard and Imdad (2012). This extends and subsumes many results of other authors which were obtained for mappings on complex-valued metric spaces.

In this paper we investigate the existence and uniqueness of common fixed point theorems for certain contractive type of mappings. As an application the existence and uniqueness of common solutions for a system of functional equations arising in dynamic programming are discuss by using the our results.

The aim of this paper is to establish the existence of some common fixed point results for generalized Geraghty ( α , ψ , ϕ ) -quasi contraction self-mapping in partially ordered metric-like spaces. We display an example and an application to show the superiority of our results. The obtained results progress some well-known fixed (common fixed) point results in the literature. Our main results cannot be specifically attained from the corresponding metric space versions. This paper is scientifically novel because we take Geraghty contraction self-mapping in partially ordered metric-like spaces via α − admissible mapping. This opens the door to other possible fixed (common fixed) point results for non-self-mapping and in other generalizing metric spaces.

Some common fixed point theorems for \'{C}iri\'{c} type contraction mappings have been obtained in convex metric spaces. As applications, invariant approximation results for these type of mappings are obtained. The proved results generalize, unify and extend some of the results of the literature.

In this paper we prove some common fixed point theorems for two and four self-mappings using rational type contraction and some newly notified definitions in partially ordered metric space. In this way we generalized, modify, and extend some recent results due to Chandok and Dinu [14], Shantanwi and Postolache[28] and many others [1, 2, 4, 5, 21, 29, 30], thus generalizing results of Cabrea, Harjani and Sadarangani [12] as well as Dass and Gupta [15]  in the context of partial order metric setting.

In this paper, we introduce the concept of convex structure in generalized fuzzy metric spaces and proved common fixed point theorems for a pair of self-mappings under sufficient contractive type conditions.
