The title of this study is “Color Terms and Verbal Signs in Women Skin Care Product Online Advertisement”. The aims of this study are to find out the color terms and verbal sign, to describe the meaning and function of color and verbal signs, and their relationships that are found in three different women skin care product of the online advertisements. The data of this study were taken from three different websites of women skin care namely www.ponds.com, www.bioderma.com and www.laneige.com. Documentation method and the qualitative method were used in this study. There are three theories applied in this study, the first theory is theory of sign by Saussure cited in Chandler 2001 in order to analyze the meaning of color terms and verbal signs.The second theory is the theory of meaning and function proposed by Leech (1974) was used in order to find out the meaning and function of color terms' role and the verbal signs on each advertisement which also supported by the theory of color meaning symbolism proposed by Morton (1997). The results shows that there is a strong relationship between colors and verbal signs' role on each advertisement which supported by the model illustration in order to give impression for the readers to but the product.

Many people use exfoliation to have a flawless face because exfoliation will degenerate dead cell. Most of them are willing to spend their money to achieve perfect skin. The problem is people awareness for buying skin care product are low. They buy skin care product without seeing what they need and good for their skin. They just buy any skin care by other people opinion, if the rating of the product is high they will buy it but when the rating is low the will not buy it. Not all of the skin care was rated correctly because some people rate them without seeing the composition or their skin type. If the awareness doesn’t increase, they will waste their money and will lead to more acne, wrinkles and black spot on the skin. The research method is qualitative method with the purposive technique because the source is females that use exfoliation. The result is people can choose exfoliation product correctly so they can have healthy skin and happy when seeing the result they get by using the product.

Abstract Anchote (Coccinia abyssinica) is highly nutritious crop which is mostly cultivated in Wollega Zone, Oromia Regional State of Ethiopia. Anchote tubers are rich in calcium and starch which are essential for healthy skin. Thus, a new skin cream was formulated using coccinia abyssinica tuber extract for the purpose of moistening and nourishing the skin. Coccinia abyssinica tuber extract was prepared by maceration extraction method. Then, tuber extract of coccinia abyssinica was mixed with ingredients such as thickening agents, humectant, emollient, antioxidant, preservatives and fragrance to prepare a new skin cream. A newly prepared skin care product was applied to the human skin. The skin became soft, attractive and supple after using this new skin cream. It didn’t cause any side effects on the human body. The current study revealed that coccinia abyssinica skin care product enrich the body with nutrients and useful minerals.

Now a days, people are comparatively much more conscious about their skin care as it’s a compulsory part of their personality building for this purpose people are using a number of products prepared chemically, which ultimately harms their skin cosmeceuticals are one of such product So, it is better to follow the herbal care for the skin, most herbal skin care product don’t have any side effects. Moreover herbal skin care drugs can be easily made at home, hence making them even more attractive, so herbal skin care is the way to go4. Hence, study of Ayurvedic drugs and the preventive aspects which describe skin care in Ayurvedic compendia is necessiated, which will help in curing various skin problems1 .
