Abstract – Ayurveda is now accepted as a global medical science. The world is shifting to herbal remedies which is considered to be safe and effective. But the quality maintenance of these herbal medicines is a difficult task which hinders the globalization of Ayurvedic drugs and thus it’s a need to use suitable techniques to maintain relevant standards. Standardization is very much important for the reproducibility of the efficacy and safety of any drug which is brought to the counter as medicine for sale. Madhuka (1)has been mentioned in classical texts as brimhana, shukrakruta , veerya pushtivardhana, dahahara, shramahara, vatapittavinasham, bhutadi jantudoshagna ,kshatkshayharam etc. This article aims to explore the qualities of Madhuka pushpa, its phytochemical parameters with HPTLC and the preliminary standardization of preparing madhuka pushpa vati for its use as an immune enhancer

Background: Common symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, fatigue, shortness of breath, and loss of smell and taste. While the majority of cases result in mild symptoms, some progress to acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) likely precipitated by a cytokine storm, multi-organ failure, septic shock, and blood clots. Most of the drugs of SARS- COVID contain higher generation antibiotics, Antiviral drugs, Steroidal drugs which further leads to respiratory complication like respiratory distress, fibrosis of lungs, COPDS whereas Ayurvedic drugs heal the lungs without causing any post covid complications. So, the need of an hour is to use and assess the Ayurvedic formulation in SARS-COVID. Aim & Objectives: To study the role of Shwaskuthar ras in covid-19 and to explore the concept of Shwaskuthar Rasa from various Granthas. Materials & Methods: Collected from various Granthas, Samhita, Article, Pubmed, google scholar and Journals. Shwaskuthar rasa is a well-known combination of Ayurvedic text used in respiratory disorders. Keywords: COVID-19, Granthas, Rasa Aushadhi, Shwaskuthar

Standardization in Ayurvedic formulations ensures the establishment of standards for the quality and purity of raw materials, quality control during the drug manufacturing process, production of a good quality finished product, storage and distribution to maintain the quality of the final product. It is an essential tool for establishing quality control methods for Ayurvedic drugs. In Ayurveda, standardization has been well defined and documented in the classical and contemporary texts. Still, these have been written with an individualistic intent and not for industrial or commercial purposes.  Careful contemplation of the classical literature of Ayurveda was done, the current guidelines of WHO on standardization of herbal drugs, latest researches on the same via the internet were explored and examined in the purview of the newest standardization procedures.  In this article, an attempt has been made to bring to light the classical references related to standardization, the milestones in this on-going pursuit have been exhibited, with the use of the latest scientific methods being incorporated for a standardized Ayurvedic drug. It can be concluded from the review that standardization in Ayurveda is an on-going process where one needs to be strictly vigilant about the new scientific methods to study the fine chemical procedures and the intermediate compounds formed, but at the same time be aware of the classical. Ayurvedic methods concepts of the procedure. Asava-arista's medicinal characteristics of Ayurvedic classical dosage forms, liquid dosage forms based on self-generated alcohol with faster absorption, long shelf life, and increased market conformity have led to a continuous rise in demand. New fermentation methods and packaging innovations tend to have been embraced by many Ayurvedic processing units. The importance of standardization of such goods is underlined by these advances in manufacturing, distribution and storage. Therefore, it is of concern to examine the latest manufacturing situation and the standardization of the dosage type regarding the procedure and the consistency and effectiveness of the finished product. In addition to the effort to include criteria of consistency and standardization, the study consists of an overview and deliberates on the importance of improvements made to the conventional preparation processes, ingredients and material used in the process and the potential impact on its efficacy.

Analytical study of Ayurvedic preparations is the need of the present scientific era. Though the Ayurvedic drugs are time tested and have been used successfully in the management of various ailments it is now necessary to prove their quality, efficacy and safety to the scientific world through various modern analytical parameters. The Sneha Kalpa is par excellent to other dosage forms due to their wider advantages like increased absorption and extraction of fat-soluble active principles Sneha Kalpa is the only dosage form that can be administered conveniently both internally as well as externally. Malatyadi Taila is an important herbal formulation mentioned in Chakradutta for the management of the disease Darunaka. Dandruff is an irritative disease of the scalp in which shedding of dead tissue from the scalp with itching sensation is the cardinal feature. It can be correlated to Darunaka the cardinal symptoms of the disease Darunaka are Kandu (itching), Kesha Chyuti (falling of hair), Swapa (abnormalities of touch sensation), Rukshata (roughness or dryness of the skin) and Twak Sputana (breaking or cracking of the skin). Chakradutta has mentioned the application of Malatyadi Taila in the treatment of Darunaka. An attempt has been made in the present study to prepare Malatyadi Taila and standardise it through analytical parameters like organoleptic properties, refractive index, acid value, saponification value, iodine value, loss on drying for developing standards. All the parameters were found to be good and within the standards. Keywords: analytical standardization, Malatyadi Taila, saponification value, HPTLC.

Quantitative and Qualitative exploration of clinical and diagnostic data using advanced analytics could unravel hidden medical knowledge by finding correlations, causations, and associations between apparently independent variables. Therefore, the scope and use and of Data Mining techniques in the current healthcare system is increasing steadily. In regard to this, we will discuss the disciplines, methods, models, algorithms, and results, and how these techniques would help in performing studies including but not limited to long-term prospective and retrospective studies, population studies, correlation studies, multicentric, multiracial, phased studies, meta-analysis, pharmacovigilance, etc. on Ayurvedic drugs and methods. We have discussed the applications of Data Mining on healthcare that is being implemented in developed countries. We have also discussed the issues like lack of quality data and record-keeping, and other issues and challenges in conducting ayurvedic studies in India, and how the National Digital Health Blueprint would be a game-changer in the current healthcare system of India.

Tamaka shwasa is made by two words ‘Tamaka’ and ‘Shwasa’. The  ‘Tamaka’ word came from ‘tama’ means experience of darkness;  And ‘Shwasa’ means respiration or breathing process ; but as concern to this disease it means increased rate of respiration or difficulty in breathing process. Acharya Charaka quoted that Shwasa and Hicca are two diseases, which are fatal to life amongst all other diseases[1].Tamaka Shwasavyadhi comes under Shwasa vyadhi. On the basis of severity; Shwasa roga is classified into five types. Kshudra shwasa can be seen as asymptoms in many diseases and is self limiting. Chhinna, Urdhwa, Maha shwasa are the terminal stages and have extremely bad prognosis. And Tamaka shwasa having its own etiology, pathology and management. It is mentioned as yapya vyadhi[2] . In this disease Vayu is vitiated and blocked by Kapha. So, vayu moves upward instead of its normal flow.Bronchial asthma in modern medicine closely resembles with Tamaka shwasa. Ayurvedic drugs including the respiratory tonics and naturally occurring bronchodilators and immunomodulators can be a potential and effective alternative for the treatment of Bronchial asthma.  Aim: To evaluate the effect of Rasagutika[3] in the management of Tamaka Shwasa w. s. r. to Bronchial asthma. Materials and methods:In this study , a patient of Asthma managed by an Ayurvedic formulation Rasagutika in dose of 250mg with kantakari kwatha administered orally three times a day after food for the period of 8 weeks.
