Mono-propellant thrusters are widely utilized in satellites and space launchers. In many cases, they are using hydrazine as a propellant. However, hydrazine has high toxicity and high risks in using for launch campaign. Recently, low-toxic (green) propellant is being highlighted as a replacement for hydrazine. In this paper, 200N bi-propellant engine using hydrogen peroxide/kerosene was designed/manufactured, and the spray or atomization characteristic and inflation pressure were determined by cold flow test, and combustion and pulse tests in a single cycle same as previous methods were conducted. As uniformly supplying hydrogen peroxide through plate-type orifice to a catalyst bed, the hot gas was created as a reaction with hydrogen and catalyst. And then, it was confirmed that the ignition is possible on the wide range of O/F ratio without additional ignition source. The liquid rocket engine with bi-propellant of hydrogen peroxide/kerosene and design/test methods which developed in this study are expected to be utilized as an essential database for designing of the ignitor/injector of bi-propellant liquid rocket engine using hydrogen peroxide/kerosene with high-thrust/performance in near future.

Age 0 fishes were collected to determine occurrence, relative abundance and species composition at three sites in River Canard, Ontario in spring-autumn, 1994-1995. This small lowland river (mean annual discharge, 3.2 m3 s-1) has variable flow during fish spawning and early nursery periods, high suspended particulate load, and sparse rooted vegetation and other physical cover. Forty-two taxa (12 families; 24,544 specimens) collected with beach seines and a plankton net represented a wide range of reproductive strategies and a diverse taxocene. Gizzard Shad Dorosoma cepedianum (67% of total catch), Orangespotted Sunfish Lepomis humilis (8%), and Brook Silverside Labidesthes sicculus (6%) were the most abundant species. Environmental conditions were such that fish attained autumnal lengths comparable to species in various systems throughout the ecoregion.

The paper is devoted to the development of a rocket engine on granular solid fuel (REGSF). The paper shows the main advantages and disadvantages of widely used propulsion systems (such as a solid-propellant rocket engine, liquid-propellant rocket engine, gas turbine engine). The proposed hybrid power plant borrows the strengths of well-known engines, such as the ability to control thrust in a wide range, multiple on and off, the ability to work in high temperatures and low oxygen content. The fuel in a REGSF is granules, the constituent components of which are both oxidizing agent and combustible. Possible propulsion systems based on REGSF, applicable for different types of tasks (can be used both for spacecraft and for ground unmanned aerial vehicles used at different altitudes with different flight speeds), are proposed and considered. As a prototype of the granular solid fuel supply system (GSFSS) the powder metal fuels supply system (PMFSS) is chosen. The flow rate and speed characteristics of the GSFSS are similar to the same characteristics of the PMFSS, they are also presented in this paper. Based on the available data on the supply system for powdered metal fuels and powdered aluminum (which is used as a fuel in a similar propulsion power plant), the requirements that granular fuel must satisfy in order to efficiently feed and ignite it are formulated and given. Requirements: dry, hydrophobic material, which must have high flowability, have a dispersion in the specified range, the type of particles must be spherical.
