The electrical method is effective on detecting and locating leaks in geomembrane liners for landfills. If a leak exists in the liner, an anomaly in the measured potential is generated in the immediate vicinity of the leak through which electrical current is flowing. But the power supply current above the liner can affect the potential distribution. A current point source model for power supply current was set up in this paper. The potential equation induced by the point source was derived. The analysis of potential expression shows that: 1) the potential generated by the power supply current is proportional to the current size and the medium resistivity; 2) as the medium thickness increases, the potential reduces; 3) to reduce the influence of power supply current, the power supply electrode should be away from the detection area as far as possible.

By combining the method of moment (MoM) and the method of network analysis, we analyze the microstrip filter circuits. First, we deduce and calculate the closed form multilayered Green’s function by using the discrete complex image method. Then, we apply the multilayered Green’s function into the method of moment (MoM) and by using the multi-port network theory, we get the networks parameters. At last, the numerical result proves the method’s accuracy and validity.

An anti-plane Green function is formulated for steady state solution of a circular lining impacted by a vertical interfacial point source in an elastic quarter space. Series forms of scattering and stationary wave of the circular lining are constructed with Fourier wave function expansion method. Basic solution of the anti-plane point source is employed to represent displacement fields of incident wave. Stress-free conditions on the quarter bounds are satisfied by using image method. Displacement and stress continuity conditions of the lining are expanded as Fourier series to determine definite equations of unknown coefficients of wave function series.
