New records of 29 rare moss species of Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region are given. One new species for Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region (Schistidium papillosum Culm.) and two very rare species (Myurella julacea (Schwagr.) Bruch et al. and Hennediella heimii (Hedw.) R. H. Zander) are found. New data on 6 moss species included in the regional Red Data Book are obtained.

The new records of 10 rare moss species of sanctuary “Vaaramaenselka Ridge” (Leningrad Region) are given. New data on the 2 moss species [Homalothecium sericeum (Hedw.) Bruch et al., Mnium hormun Hedw.] included in Red Data Book of Nature of the Leningrad Region are obtained.

Generalized literature, unpublished herbarium and data of the author on the distribution and ecology of 36 rare species of bryophytes on the territory of the Leningrad Region (3 hornworts, 12 liverworts and 21 mosses) including 3 species new for the Leningrad Region (Riccia bifurca Hoffm., Aloina rigida (Hedw.) Limpr., Didymodon vinealis (Brid.) R. H. Zander) and 7 species rare for the Leningrad Region and previously known for the region only from the old literature sources (Anthoceros agrestis Paton, Dicranum viride (Sull. et Lesq.) Lindb., Physcomitrium sphaericum (C. F. Ludw. ex Schkuhr) Brid., Pohlia lescuriana (Sull.) Ochi, Pseudocalliergon lycopodioides (Brid.) Hedenäs, Sphagnum quinquefarium (Braithw.) Warnst., Tortula modica R. H. Zander). New records of species included in the Red Data Book of Nature of the Leningrad Region (Krasnaya..., 2000) — Riccia cavernosa Hoffm., Palustriella decipiens (De Not.) Ochyra and Sphagnum pulchrum (Lindb. ex Braithw.) Warnst. are given. The brief analysis of distribution of considered rare species of bryophytes within the Leningrad Region is provided.

The paper presents the data on new locations in forest communities of the Rostov Region of vascular plant spe-cies listed in the regional Red Data Book. More than 200 new localities were recorded for 42 species between 2008 and 2020. Matteucia struthiopteris is recorded for the first time in the Rostov Region. 22 species are rec-ommended for inclusion into the new edition of the Red Data Book of the Rostov Region.

The presented annotated list of 103 moss species is based on the results of bryofloristic investigation carried out in summer 2007 in the south-eastern part of Buryatia. Seven species are new for the moss flora of Buryatia: Dichodontium pellucidum, Didymodon hedysariformis, Grimmia anodon, Fissidens viridulus, Ortotrichum pallens, Rhodobryum ontariense, Schistidium liliputanum; three species: Haplocladium angustifolium, Jaffueliobryum latifolium, Plagiomnium acutum, are rare and included in the Red Data Book of Republic of Buryatia. The records of very rare species Bryoerythrophyllum inaequalifolia, Hilpertia velenovsyi and Lindbergia brachyptera are very interesting (Afonina, 2008).

The first annotated list of mosses of the planned Kaita Nature Reserve with 139 species and 1 variety was compiled. Rare species (Leucodon sciuroides, Philonotis caespitosa, Schistidium apocarpum, Sphagnum annulatum, Sphagnum inundatum, Splachnum rubrum et al.) have been found. One species (Orthotrichum speciosum) is listed in Red Data Book of the Murmansk Region (Krasnaya…, 2003). Half of the recorded moss species often occur throughout the Murmansk Region. The lists of mosses of the planned Kaita Nature Reserve and two neighboring protected areas (Lapland and White Sea part of Kandalaksha Strict Nature Reserves) were compared.

The article provides information on the first record of Saxifraga nivalis L. in the Leningrad Region. Earlier, this species was cited for the Leningrad Region on the basis of a misinterpreted data of the monograph by I. Hiitonen (1946). S. nivalis has the southern limit of its range in the Leningrad Region. The species is recommended to include the Red Data Book of the Leningrad Region.

The report provides data on new localities of rare and protected species of plants, fungi and lichens in the central districts of the Rostov Region – Belokalitvinsky, Kamensky, Konstantinovsky, Krasnosulinsky, Morozovsky, Tatsinsky, Ust-Donetsky, Tsimlyansky. Basing on the results of the monitoring works done in 2020, 196 locali-ties of 63 species that were not included in the 2nd edition of the Red Data Book of the Rostov Region (Krasnaia…, 2014) were noted, including 67 locations of 19 species included in the Red Data Book of the Rus-sian Federation (Krasnaia…, 2008). 9 species of plants and fungi are indicated for the study region for the first time (macromycetes Agaricus bernardiiformis, Amanita vittadinii, Leccinum duriusculum, moss Fontinalis antipy-retica, angiosperms Elytrigia stipifolia, Jurinea cretacea, Matthiola fragrans, Salvia austriaca, Serratula tanait-ica), 5 species of them (Amanita vittadinii, Elytrigia stipifolia, Jurinea cretacea, Matthiola fragrans, Serratula tanaitica) have a federal protection status.

Vyborgsky Sanctuary occupies the coastal zone of the Gulf of Finland and Vyborg Bay, the northern part of the Kiperort Peninsula, Lisy Island and about 40 adjacent small islands. The annotated list of 171 moss species and brief analysis of the moss flora are provided. Aulacomnium androgynum (Hedw.) Schwagr. is included in The Red Data Book of Russia (2008), Ulota drummondii (Hook. et Grev.) Brid. is new for the Leningrad Region and 9 species are protected in the Leningrad Region.

The herbarium material collected in 2012–2017 in Cambodia and Laos provides data on 281 new localities of 110 orchid species from 48 genera for Laos, and 4 new localities of 4 species from 4 genera for Cambodia. Among them, 3 species present new records for the flora of Cambodia (Eria ochracea Rolfe, Luisia macrotisRchb. fil., Trichoglottis seidenfadenii Aver.); 1 genus (Abdominea J. J. Sm.), and 13 species are new to the flora of Laos (Abdominea minimiflora (Hook. fil.) J. J. Sm., Bulbophyllum nanopetalum Seidenf., Chiloschista parishii Seidenf., Cleisostoma tricornutum Aver., Didymoplexis vietnamica Ormerod, Gastrochilus hainanensis Z. H. Tsi, Hetaeria alata Ridl., Malleola seidenfadenii Christenson, Phaius takeoi (Hayata) H. J. Su, Sarcoglyphis yunnanensis Z. H. Tsi, Schoenorchis fragrans (E. C. Parish et Rchb. fil.) Seidenf. et Smitinand, Thrixspermum fragrans Ridl., T. hystrix (Blume) Rchb. fil.). One new species is described, Bulbophyllum pseudorufinum Aver. The reported data provide a substantial basis for the understanding of the present-day distribution of rare species in Eastern Indochina.

New records of 11 rare species of damselflies and dragonflies (Calopteryx virgo, Lestes macrostigma, Nehalennia speciosa, Coenagrion scitulum, Ophiogomphus cecilia, Lindenia tetraphylla, Cordulegaster boltonii, Somatochlora arctica, Leucorrhinia albifrons, Leucorrhinia caudalis, and Selysiothemis nigra) within Ukraine are given.  Habitats  and distribution of species within the country are briefly discussed.  Breeding sites of C. boltonii within Ukraine is found for the first time and confirmed with larval material.  Somatochlora arctica is recommended for inclusion in the next edition of the Red Data Book of Ukraine.
