As part of a project to sample tissue from all native vascular plants in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, we collected material from four species that have not been previously recorded in Singapore. Of these, Nervilia singaporensis Niissalo has already been described as a new species, native to Singapore. Two species, Lepidogyne longifolia (Blume) Blume (Orchidaceae) and Ptyssiglottis kunthiana (Wall. ex Nees) B.Hansen (Acanthaceae), which are reported here, belong to genera that have not previously been recorded in Singapore. Based on their collection history in the region and their habitat in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, we consider them native to Singapore. The fourth new record, Plectocomiopsis cf. corneri Furtado (Arecaceae), also reported here, is a new species record for Singapore, but based on the collection history of the species and its only known locality in Singapore, we consider it introduced. The nomenclature and history of these species are discussed and we designate lectotypes for several names that are relevant to these species: Neottia longifolia Blume, Lepidogyne sceptrum Schltr., Polytrema aequale Ridl., Polytrema aequale Ridl. var. minor Ridl. and Polytrema vulgare C.B.Clarke. We also designate a neotype for Lepidogyne minor Schltr.

Two species of Sinella Brook were discovered in an expedition to Maolan National Nature Reserve, Guizhou Province, China: S. maolanensis sp. nov. and S. colorata Zhang, Qu & Deharveng. The new species is characterized by the postlabial chaetae X, X2 and X4 ciliate and X3 smooth and the 6+6 central mac on the fourth abdominal segment. It differs from the closely related species by the combination of postlabial chaetae and abdominal chaetotaxy. Sinella colorata is a new record from the province. A key to the eyeless Sinella species from China is provided.

A new species, Stemonitis planusis, was collected in Shennongjia National Nature Reserve, Hubei Province, China; it has larger sporocarps that usually end in a plane at the apex of the sporotheca, and its capillitia are expanded at the axils. Additionally, Elaeomyxa Hagelst. was documented for the first time in China; E. miyazakiensis (Emoto) Hagelst. was identified based on material collected from Dasu Forest, Fushun City, Liaoning Province, China. This newly recorded species is characterised by the wax in its stalk, peridium, and capillitium, and spores (approximately 7–8 μm in diam.) marked with rows of warts. A description and scanning electron micrographs of the collected Elaeomyxa and Stemonitis are provided. All specimens are deposited in the Herbarium of the Mycological Institute of Jilin Agricultural University (HMJAU), Changchun, China.

The genus Agrisius Walker (1855) is reported for the first time in Cambodia, for the new species Agrisius nigripunctata sp. n. Additionally, Agrisius fuliginosus is reported for the first time in Laos, Myanmar, China, Thailand and Vietnam. Illustrations of the adult and genitalia of Agrisius nigripunctata sp. n. and A. fuliginosus Moore are presented.

Seven species of freshwater crabs from three families are recorded from and around the Danum Valley Conservation Area in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo: Thelphusulacapillodigitus sp. n., Thelphusuladicerophilus Ng & Stuebing, 1990, Arachnothelphusaterrapes Ng, 1991, Terrathelphusasecula Ng & Tan, 2015, Parathelphusavalida Ng & Goh, 1987 (new record) (Gecarcinucidae); Isolapotamoningeri Ng & Tan, 1998 (Potamidae); and Geosesarmadanumense Ng, 2002 (Sesarmidae). The new species of Thelphusula Bott, 1979, can be distinguished from all congeners by a unique combination of morphological features, most notably the presence of dense patches of short setae on the fingers of the adult male chelipeds, as well as the structure of the male first gonopod. Arachnothelphusaterrapes is confirmed to be a phytotelm species. A key to all species in the conservation area is provided.
