Total Quality Managementmerupakan sebuah konsep yang pada awalnya berasal dari dunia bisnis dan diterapkan dalam dunia perusahaan, tetapi seiring berjalannya waktu TQM juga diterapkan dalam dunia pendidikan. Penerapan TQM dalam pendidikan merupakan sebuah upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Prinsip umum Total Quality Management(TQM) meliputi beberapa hal, yaitu: mengutamakan kepuasan pelanggan (customer focus organization), keterlibatan seluruh anggota organisasi (people organization), pendekatan yang menekankan pada perbaikan proses (proses approach), pendekatan sistem (system approach), perbaikan secara terus menerus (continual improvement), pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan fakta (factual approach to decision making), dan hubungan dengan supplieryang saling menguntungkan (mutually beneficial relationship). Prosedur dalam mengimplementasikan TQMdalam lembaga pendidikan pada dasarnya menempuh tiga tahapan sebagai berikut: (1) tahap persiapan, yaitu membentuk tim dan melaksanakan pelatihan bagi tim, (2) Pengembangan sistem, yaitu melakukan pelatihan dan sosialisasi kepada tim yang telah ditentukan, (3) Implementasi sistem, yaitu melaksanakan berdasarkan siklus PDCA (plan, do, check, act). Jika penerapan prinsip-prinsip Total Quality Manajemendilaksanakan dengan baik dan serius oleh lembaga pendidikan, diyakini peningkatan kualitas outputyang diharapkan dapat tercapai dan dapat bersaing dengan lembaga pendidikan lain baik di tingkat Nasional maupun Internasional

Tulisan ini menjelaskan tentang penerapan(TQM)mutu pendidikan yang menjadi prioritas utama di semua lembaga pendidikan.Tulisan memfokuskan pada penerapan prinsip umum Total Quality Management yang meliputi delapan (8) hal yaitu: Mengutamakan Ketercapaian Kepuasan Pelanggan (Customer Focus Organization), Kepemimpinan (Leadership), Keterlibatan Seluruh Partisipan (People Organization), Pendekatan yang menekankan pada perbaikan proses (Process Approach), Pendekatan sistem (System Approach), Perbaikan secara terus menerus (Continual Improvement), Pengambilan keputusan berdasarkan fakta (Factual Approach to Decision Making), dan hubungan dengan supplier yang saling menguntungkan (Mutually Beneficial Relationship).Tulisan menerapkan prinsip umum Total Quality Management yang telah dilaksanakan oleh lembaga pendidikan Islam secara serius, maka diyakini bahwa peningkatan kualitas output yang diharapkan akan dengan mudah dapat dicapai dan akan dapat bersaing dengan lembaga pendidikanlain baik di tingkat nasional bahkan internasional sekalipun.Salah satu upayanya adalah dengan menerapkan berbagai teori dan konsep manajemen mutu agar kualitas pendidikan dapat terjaga dan diakui sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang menjalankan proses denganbaik dan menghasilkan output yang baik. Tulisan ini menggunakan teori Edward Deming dan Joseph Juran yang berkaitan dengan perencanaan mutu, pengendalian dan peningkatan mutu. Tulisanini akan membahas tentang beberapa penerapan konsep mutu dan relevansinyapada lembaga pendidikan Islam.

The building sector is playing an important part Major factor in any country's development. The Construct industry growth depends on Building project efficiency. Quality is one thing Important factor in construction industry success in this paper the problems of quality definition in the construction industry are discussed, analysis potential advantages of quality implementation and considers quality barriers to Building implementation. Many implementing obstacles. We identify recent patterns that could lead to the Invade barriers. However, the various building actors must Know that improvement is necessary for the construction industry to improve quality TQM is specifically designed to deliver excellence in customer satisfaction by continual improvement full participation of product and processes every person who is a part of dedication that product/process. It's an orchestrated approach enhancement. If implemented correctly, it will support the Company of construction to boost its efficiency.

Purpose – Reflecting the Mauritian government's “quality” agenda and its focus on school leadership, this paper reports the findings of research exploring Mauritian principals’ views about the use of total quality management (TQM) for school improvement. While aspects of this research have been reported elsewhere, the purpose of this paper is to focus on school leaders’ use of data and evidence in making decisions for school improvement. Design/methodology/approach – The paper reports on qualitative aspects within a mixed methods research with data collected by means of semi-structured interviews conducted with a purposive sample of six principals. The analysis of the data were an exercise in grounded theory building. Findings – The paper expands the knowledge of principals as quantitative data users arguing that qualitative information based on professional discourses, human judgements and lived experiences should be equally valorised if TQM is used for making informed educational decisions. Research limitations/implications – The research relied on principals’ views as the unique source of data. The perspectives of the other stakeholders would offer a richer description of leadership reality in Mauritian schools. Practical implications – The paper suggests a more participatory decision-making model for effective change that could rightfully engage all stakeholders through various complementary quantitative and qualitative processes. It further recommends that alongside the core systemic qualities of TQM, there are ethical, moral and cultural dimensions of leadership that could enhance the teaching and learning environment. Originality/value – While confirming some extant research, the paper brings new thinking to understanding the critical role of principals within the TQM scenario of data-driven decision making.

This Research Paper aims to evaluate the Performance of the Heads of Maintenance Department of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in the mosques of Qatar in light of the Total Quality Management (TQM) principals. To achieve this goal, the researcher conducted a field study consisting of a questionnaire containing 32 questions. The study targeted a random sample of 263 individuals (Stake Holders) in three grand mosques at different praying times and locations to measure their understanding about the role of the Maintenance Department and its employees, and the extent of involvement, as mosque users, in the process of decision-making. In addition, the level of their knowledge about the maintenance work was also studied. After analyzing the data, the most important results have been concluded; That There is a strong relationship between continuous evaluation and good performance of the Heads of Maintenance, and the External users are very important in improving and evaluation performance process. Finally, the most important recommendations is that the Heads of Maintenance should implement in all areas and at all levels TQM in order to reach a good standard of performance, and to adopting ambitious programs to increase the interaction and awareness of the internal and external users and to establish solid understanding about mosques maintenance among the users.

Total Quality Management (TQM) starts from the quality that has been applied  by  companies to get good quality in the early decades of  2000 in Indonesia. In this study explained TQM Education with the Company's TQM perspective in general which consisted of customer focus, quality obsession, teamwork and school performance. This study aims to determine the implementation of TQM education on the performance of State Vocational High Schools in Pekanbaru City. The method used in this study is descriptive and quantitative. The population of this study was 474  and the sample used a sampling quota of 82 respondents and used multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the TQM Education research namely Customer Focus, Quality Obsession and Team Cooperation did not have a significant effect simultaneously and partially had a significant effect on the performance of the State Vocational High School in Pekanbaru.
