Abstract UCI-190 (HP) material is a general-purpose alloy for use in steam-cracking tubes and fittings and reformer furnaces. HP alloy has carburization, oxidation, and creep resistance at temperatures up to 2000 F. The alloy is weldable by GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW using electrodes with composition matching the base metal (25Cr-35Ni) or NiCrCoMo-1 (AWS 5.11 and AWS 5.14). Preheat or post heat normally are not required. UCI-190 has been used for many years providing consistent and predictable results in high-temperature applications.
