STROLOY 5C
Abstract STROLOY 5C is a high-strength low-alloy steel developed for seamless hot-or-cold finished tubing and extruded shapes in the water-quenched-and-tempered condition. In this condition the steel exhibits high tensile and yield strengths and good ductility. It can be are welded readily using the procedures prescribed by the manufacturer. Preheat, postheat and stress relief normally are not required. Stroloy 5C tubing is used for applications requiring a good combination of strength, toughness and weldability. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, elasticity, and tensile properties. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and joining.
