Abstract BETHLEHEM M-2 is a molybdenum-tungsten type of high-speed steel. In general, it can be used for the same applications as the 18 tungsten-4 chromium-1 vanadium (AISI Type T1) high-speed steel. Its higher carbon content (relative to Type T1) and balanced composition produce properties applicable to all general-purpose high-speed uses. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: TS-319. Producer or source: Bethlehem Steel Corporation.

Abstract ELECTRITE CO-6 is a high-speed steel of the 6 molybdenum-6 tungsten type to which 9% cobalt has been added. This cobalt addition increases the red hardness and permits a retention of greater cutting hardness at elevated temperatures. It is designated as SAE-M36 and AISI Type M36. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity as well as fracture toughness. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, and machining. Filing Code: TS-35. Producer or source: Latrobe Steel Company. Originally published July 1955, revised June 1963.

Abstract BETHLEHEM M-7 is a high-molybdenum type of high-speed steel. Because of its high-carbon and high-vanadium contents, it has superior resistance to abrasion and is used for tools where edge toughness and wear resistance are required. This datasheet provides information on composition, physical properties, hardness, and elasticity. It also includes information on forming, heat treating, machining, and surface treatment. Filing Code: TS-332. Producer or source: Bethlehem Steel Corporation.
