Abstract CANNON-MUSKEGON A-2 is a high-carbon air-hardening cast tool steel with excellent non-deforming properties and abrasion resistance in the quenched and tempered condition. It has good machinability in the annealed condition. A higher silicon content is permissible in this cast steel than in AISI A2 (wrought) tool steel. Abstract SELECT B is a fully uniform air-hardening die steel having abrasion resistance intermediate between Olympic (AISI Type D2) high-carbon, high-chromium die steel and Badger (AISI Type O1) oil-hardening die steel.
