The paper deals with the possibility of using two-stage electrodialysis for recovery of lactic acid from model solutions and from fermentation broth. In the first step lactate was concentrated with desalting electrodialysis using ion exchange membranes Ralex (Mega,Czech Republic). The highest final concentration of 111 g/l was reached in the concentrate, it means an increase more than 2.5-times in comparison with the initial concentration. At the most 2 g of lactate per litre remained in the feed. The second step was the electroconversion of sodium lactate to lactic acid by water-splitting electrodialysis with the bipolar membranes Neosepta (Tokuyama Corp.,Japan). The final lactic acid concentration of 157 g/l was reached in the diluate. Total required energy in both electrodialysis processes consisting of the energy consumption for lactate transfer and for its electroconversion to lactic acid was 142 Wh/mol. The fermentation broth was decolourised before electrodialysis experiments. The best decolourisation capacity was shown by granulated active charcoal filled in the column operated by a slow flow of broth.

The purpose of this study was to determine the extend of the impact of the sports massage recovery method on the lactate levels of wrestling athletes. The population in this study was West Java PON wrestling athletes with purposive sampling technique with the criteria of having participated in national level championships and male gender with a total of 4 person. The instrument in this study was the Wrestling Match Simulation, Sport Massage is a recovery method protocol with a duration of 20 minutes, Acutend Lactate to measure the athlete's lactate level before and after being given the treatment. The results showed that there was a significant decrease in the athlete's lactate level after being given the treatment.

Abstract : This study aims at: (1) finding the effect of three types of treatments such as massage, stretching and conventional recovery in recovery blood lactic acid and heart rate after a 6x35-meter-run;(2) finding the different effects between high VO2Max and low VO2Max capabilities in recovery blood lactic acid and heart rate after a 6x35-meter-run; and (3) finding the interaction among the massage, stretching, and conventional recovery groups of VO2Max in recovery blood lactic acid and heart rate after a 6x35-meter-run. This research method was an experimental study with 2 x 3 factorial designs. The research results show that: (1) stretching recovery is more effective in decreasing the blood lactic acid. Meanwhile, the massage and the conventional recovery are more effective for the heart rate recovery; (2) on the VO2Max groups, the blood lactic acid recovery and the heart rate recovery are more effective than the low VO2Max group with the significance level (P=0.001); and (3) there are no interaction among the massage, stretching and the conventional recovery with the VO2Max towards the blood lactic acid recovery and the heart rate after the 35-meter-interval run. Keywords: massage, stretching, conventional recovery, VO2Max, lactic acid, heart rate recover
