Environment is the key factor in the greenhouse system. To provide monitoring and controlling facility inside the greenhouse, IoT based system is more flexible and suitable solution. To maintain the proper environment inside the green- house, we have designed the system with heating, cooling and water supply facility by integrating the system with heater, cooling fan and water pump. The temperature, humidity and    the soil moisture inside the greenhouse continuously monitored and controlled over online platform.

The temporal and spatial variability of soil moisture, evapotranspiration and water use were investigated for winter barley. Evaluations were carried out on a database containing meteorological and yield data from 15 stations. The spatial distribution of soil moisture, evapotranspiration and water use efficiency (WUE) was evaluated from 1951 to 2000 and the moisture conditions during the growth period of winter barley were investigated. The water supply was found to be favourable, since the average values of soil moisture remained above the lower limit of favourable water content throughout the growth period, except for September–December and May–June. The actual evapotranspiration tended to be close to the potential evapotranspiration, so the water supplies were favourable throughout the vegetation period. The calculated values of WUE showed an increasing trend from 1960 to 1990, but the lower level of agricultural inputs caused a decline after 1990. The average values of WUE varied between 0.87 and 1.09 g/kg in different counties, with higher values in the northern part of the Great Hungarian Plain. The potential yield of winter barley can be calculated from the maximum value of WUE. Except in the cooler northern and western parts of the country, the potential yield of winter barley, based on the water supply, could exceed 10 t/ha.

Quality plants are produced by observing soil moisture and plant temperature. Plants humidity and temperature are affected by plant irrigations system. Therefore, this Final Project aims to make a plant sprinklers that can control water discharge according to plant needs. Using the Soilmoisture Sensor which functions as a reader of plant soil moisture and DHT11 as a reader of the air temperature around the plant. Then the relay module functions to activate and deactivate the water pump. LCD is used to display the  data results and the ESP8266 Module is also used as a display of the results of sensor data, which will be sent to the thingspeak.com website

Green house is generally a building of small or large structures. The structure of the green house is made of walls and the translucent roof, with the capability of maintaining the planned climatic condition. It ensures the growth of plants that requires a specified level of soil moisture, sunlight, humidity and temperature. The green house systems available are human monitored systems that entail the continuous human visit causing distress to the worker and also decrease in the yield if the temperature and the humidity are not properly and regularly maintained. This paves way for the concept of the green house automation. The green house automation formed by the incorporation of the Internet of things and the embedded system addresses the problem faced in the green house and provides with the automated controlling and monitoring of the green house environment replacing the undeviating administration of the farmers. This paper also proposes the automation using internet of things in green house environment by using the Netduino 3 and employing the sensors for the sensing the moisture, temperature, sunlight and humidity, to enhance the production rate and minimize the discomfort caused to the farmers.
