High turnover rate is one of the striking features of the hotel industry and one of the most significant challenges. High turnover rate causes substantial costs for recruitment, selection and training in hotels, on the other hand, it also leads to negative consequences such as the decline of organizational performance and service quality. Thus, it is necessary to search for the root causes of turnover and put forward solutions. This study was designed to examine the impact of psychological capital (PsyCap), organizational commitment (OC), and job satisfaction (JS) on turnover intention among hotel employees. Additionally, it aimed to test the mediating roles of job satisfaction (JS) and organizational commitment (OC). The data were obtained from 228 hotel customer-contact employees with a time lag of two weeks in three waves in Kuala Lumpur based on convenience sampling. A series of structural equation modeling analyses were utilized to investigate hypothesized relationships. The results reveal that there exists a significant and negative impact of PsyCap on employees’ turnover intention and this correlation is partially mediated through two job attitudes. That is to say, to retain hotel talents, five-star hotel management should take proper measures to help employees obtain and maintain positive psychological resources such as PsyCap, on the other hand, how to cultivate positive job attitudes and strengthen their sense of identification and belonging for their organizations is supposed to be more focused on.

This study discussed employee turnover as one of the crucial problems faced by every organization. This study sought to analyze the determinants of turnover intention, such as job insecurity, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction. The objects of this study were newcomer lecturers of private Islamic universities in East Java Province, Indonesia. To analyze the relationship among independent variables and dependent variable; this study employed a correlation path model. To build the structural formulation of the correlation path model, this study used the variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) as a Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. The study found that job insecurity influenced job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Moreover, job satisfaction and organizational commitment had positive impacts on the turnover intention. In contrast, job insecurity did not have a direct significant impact on the turnover intention, but it had indirect effect that influences job satisfaction and organizational commitment.

Objective – High voluntary turnover rate has become the focus of most employers and scholars in related fields. Although employers have attempted to use a variety of retention strategies to retain qualified and skilled employees, the turnover rate remains high in the vast majority of industries around the world. Methodology/Technique – Past studies are concerned mostly with employees’ external demands such as salaries, fringe benefits, work conditions and less focus has been given on the importance of employees’ internal needs based on psychological capital. Therefore, there is a need to perform a study on the turnover from this perspective as it is crucial not only to retain the individual but also to ensure their contentment and satisfaction are fulfilled by their organizations. Findings – This paper undertakes a review of existing literature which specifically addresses the perspectives of individual psychology, and simultaneously explains the relationship between the two psychological factors (namely psychological capital and person-environment fit) and the turnover intention with the mediating effect of job satisfaction. The major thrust of the present paper, pertaining to employees growth and development at work, attempts a systematic analysis of attitudinal outcomes and performance improvement due to psychological capital. The constructs, namely psychological capital, and work attitudes like job involvement, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, cynicism, and turnover intention have been described. Based on far reaching Indian as well as western literature and findings, it is suggested that psychological capital would be positively related to desirable attitudes like job satisfaction, organizational commitment, and job involvement whereas negatively related to undesirable attitudes like organizational cynicisms and turnover intention. Through extensive literature and findings, the researcher is aiming to formulate a conceptual model of psychological capital based on propositions and to show how psychological capital is related to job attitudes. With respect to organizational development, this paper also covers practical implication where systematic intervention of psychological capital is given utmost priority. With reference to various organizations and workplaces, how psychological capital can be applied in a scientific direction through proper training, workshop, and web-based programme in order to promote healthy and balanced life.

In an organization the role of human resources is a very important determining factor for the effectiveness and success of an organization in achieving its goals. But in reality, there are still many companies that use outsourching services. With the rise of the practice of outsourcing so far it is recognized to be more detrimental to workers because employment relations are always in the form of non-permanent or contractual contracts (fixed time contracts), lower wages, limited social security, lack of job security, and lack of career development guarantees. These factors make high turnover intention in PT XYZ. From every outsourching employee's complaints and based on data to the company, the authors indicate doubts about organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and work stress. The author uses questionnaires and interviews as a data collection tool and takes a sampling of the outsourching employee population. Then analyzed using the smartPLS application. The results showed that organizational commitment had a negative and significant effect on turnover intention, job satisfaction had a negative and significant effect on turnover intention and work stress had a positive and significant effect on the turnover intention of outsourcing employee in PT XYZ.

Information about the factors that influence turnover intention is needed by managerial in providing strategic steps to overcome the negative effects of high turnover intention. This study aims to analyze the effect of turnover intention on employee performance with organizational commitment as a moderator variable. The sampling method used was the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The research data used respondents' perceptions of the variables, then analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method. The results of this study indicate that turnover intention has a negative relation toward employee performance and commitment, although not significant. This condition can occur because of tugging to get high-performing talents in the service industry. This condition is triggered by the increasingly open competition in the world of work so that employees are aware of having to create a positive impression for the company to be left, which will usually be a recommendation to the next destination company. High organizational commitment is an important factor in improving employee performance. High organizational commitment will reduce the desire of employees to leave a company (turnover intention) and reduce the negative influence on employee performance, so that despite high turnover intention, employee performance is remaining high. This happens especially in service companies whose main capital is human resources.

Purpose The main purpose of this paper is to examine the mediating role of psychological capital in the relationship between perceived psychological empowerment and employee satisfaction, normative organizational commitment and turnover intentions. Design/methodology/approach To test the proposed research model, the authors collected field data from seven telecommunication companies located in the Islamabad Capital Territory of Pakistan. Through a two-wave data collection design, a total of 411 participants reported their perceptions about psychological empowerment and psychological capital at Time 1 and their job satisfaction, normative organizational commitment and turnover intention at Time 2. Findings Results supported the hypothesized relationships, showing that psychological capital fully mediates the relationship between perceived psychological empowerment and employee job satisfaction, normative organizational commitment and turnover intention. Research limitations/implications This study relied on cross-sectional data, which does not fully satisfy the conditions of establishing causality. Practical implications Results of this study will help organizations and practitioners to understand the importance of psychological empowerment and psychological capital and how they positively influence organizational performance, including employee job satisfaction, normative organizational commitment and turnover intention. Originality/value Drawing upon the self-determination theory of Deci and Ryan (2000), this study contributes to organizational behaviour literature by proposing and testing psychological capital as an underlying mechanism that can explain the impact of psychological empowerment on employee satisfaction, normative organizational commitment and turnover intention.

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction on employee performance. The effect of organizational commitment mediates the relationship between work motivation on employee performance and job satisfaction on employee performance and psychological capital, which moderates the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance. The object of this research is the employees of the state civil apparatus. They work in government agencies in the education sector of the Directorate of Senior High Schools in Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with one hundred and ten respondents, sampling using a saturated sample technique, and a questionnaire as a measuring tool. Data analysis used the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to test the model's suitability in this study with the help of the SmartPLS version 3 application. The results of this study conclude that work motivation, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction affect employee performance, organizational commitment can mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance but cannot mediate the relationship between work motivation and employee performance, and psychological capital can moderate the relationship between job satisfaction with employee performance.

PT X is a major regional pharmaceutical company that develops and markets innovative products in Indonesia and other countries in South-East Asia. The high turnover rate in PT X indicates a further need to be explored about this condition and see if it is affected by employee cohesiveness and job satisfaction. This study uses quantitative approach with questionnaires that distributed to 120 head office employees with convenience sampling method. The result of structural equation modeling analysis shows that the better employee cohesiveness will increase the job satisfaction so that it can decrease the employee's desire to resign from the company. Cohesiveness has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. In this case cohesiveness plays an important role in improving job satisfaction because having a cohesive group will affect employee satisfaction. Cohesiveness and job satisfaction have a significant negative impact on turnover intention. This suggests that cohesiveness and job satisfaction play an important role in decreasing employee intent turnover, even though the effect of cohesiveness is less than the effect of job satisfaction on turnover intention.

PurposeThis study examines the relationship between task-oriented leadership style, psychological capital, job satisfaction and organizational commitment: evidence from Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises.Design/methodology/approachThe method employed in the research is the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for testing hypotheses of data collected from a sample of 800 employees working in small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam.FindingsThe results show that the task-oriented leadership style has a positive impact on organizational commitment, limits job satisfaction and no obvious association with the psychological capital of employees. Besides, job satisfaction and psychological capital play an important role in the organizational commitment of employees in small and medium-sized enterprises of Vietnam.Originality/valueThis paper aims to shed light on a less fully explored topic for organizational behavior in small and medium-sized enterprises in emerging markets like Vietnam. In contrast to extensive studies on the participative and supportive leader, this study focuses on task-oriented leadership style in the testing and analysis to understand the theory of leadership style, psychological capital, job satisfaction and organizational commitment in emerging markets and provides more knowledge on employee behavior management for companies in Vietnam. This is a unique contribution to the original value of this article.

The purpose of this study is to analyze Job Insecurity, job satisfaction, and organizational Commitment directly affect turnover intention and organizational culture; it analyzes Job Insecurity, job satisfaction, and organizational Commitment have an indirect impact on turnover intention through organizational culture. The population of this study was employees of The Airline Transportation Services Company, with 300 samples taken as research subjects. The analysis method uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through AMOS software version 2.2. The results showed that    Job Insecurity, job satisfaction, and organizational culture had a significant effect on turnover intention, work commitment had no significant impact on turnover intention, Job Insecurity, job satisfaction, and Commitment had a considerable influence on organizational culture, and organizational culture was able to mediate the effect of Job Insecurity, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. Work has a significant impact on turnover intention.
