A new domination parameter in a fuzzy digraph is proposed to espouse a contribution in the domain of domination in a fuzzy graph and a directed graph. Let GD*=V,A be a directed simple graph, where V is a finite nonempty set and A=x,y:x,y∈V,x≠y. A fuzzy digraph GD=σD,μD is a pair of two functions σD:V→0,1 and μD:A→0,1, such that μDx,y≤σDx∧σDy, where x,y∈V. An edge μDx,y of a fuzzy digraph is called an effective edge if μDx,y=σDx∧σDy. Let x,y∈V. The vertex σDx dominates σDy in GD if μDx,y is an effective edge. Let S⊆V, u∈V\S, and v∈S. A subset σDS⊆σD is a dominating set of GD if, for every σDu∈σD\σDS, there exists σDv∈σDS, such that σDv dominates σDu. The minimum dominating set of a fuzzy digraph GD is called the domination number of a fuzzy digraph and is denoted by γGD. In this paper, the concept of domination in a fuzzy digraph is introduced, the domination number of a fuzzy digraph is characterized, and the domination number of a fuzzy dipath and a fuzzy dicycle is modeled.

A dominating set $D$ for a graph $G$ is a subset of $V(G)$ such that any vertex not in $D$ has at least one neighbor in $D$. The domination number $\gamma(G)$ is the size of a minimum dominating set in G. Vizing's conjecture from 1968 states that for the Cartesian product of graphs $G$ and $H$, $\gamma(G)\gamma(H) \leq \gamma(G \Box H)$, and Clark and Suen (2000) proved that $\gamma(G)\gamma(H) \leq 2 \gamma(G \Box H)$. In this paper, we modify the approach of Clark and Suen to prove a variety of similar bounds related to total and paired domination, and also extend these bounds to the $n$-Cartesian product of graphs $A^1$ through $A^n$.

Fuzzy graphs have a prominent place in the mathematical modelling of the problems due to the simplicity of representing the relationships between topics. Gradually, with the development of science and in encountering with complex problems and the existence of multiple relationships between variables, the need to consider fuzzy graphs with multiple relationships was felt. With the introduction of the graph structures, there was better flexibility than the graph in dealing with problems. By combining a graph structure with a fuzzy graph, a fuzzy graph structure was introduced that increased the decision-making power of complex problems based on uncertainties. The previous definitions restrictions in fuzzy graphs have made us present new definitions in the fuzzy graph structure. The domination of fuzzy graphs has many applications in other sciences including computer science, intelligent systems, psychology, and medical sciences. Hence, in this paper, first we study the dominating set in a fuzzy graph structure from the perspective of the domination number of its fuzzy relationships. Likewise, we determine the domination in terms of neighborhood, degree, and capacity of vertices with some examples. Finally, applications of domination are introduced in fuzzy graph structure.

Abstract Let G be a fuzzy graph. Let γ(G), γp(G) denote respectively the domination number, the point set domination number of a fuzzy graph. A dominating set D of a fuzzy graph is said to be a point set dominating set of a fuzzy graph if for every S⊆V-D there exists a node d∈D such that 〈S ∪ {d}〉 is a connected fuzzy graph. The minimum cardinality taken over all minimal point set dominating set is called a point set domination number of a fuzzy graph G and it is denoted by γp(G). In this paper we concentrate on the point set domination number of a fuzzy graph and obtain some bounds using the neighbourhood degree of fuzzy graphs.

Let [Formula: see text] be a simple graph with vertex set [Formula: see text] and edge set [Formula: see text]. An outer-paired dominating set [Formula: see text] of a graph [Formula: see text] is a dominating set such that the subgraph induced by [Formula: see text] has a perfect matching. The outer-paired domination number of [Formula: see text], denoted by [Formula: see text], is the minimum cardinality of an outer-paired dominating set of [Formula: see text]. In this paper, we study the outer-paired domination number of graphs and present some sharp bounds concerning the invariant. Also, we characterize all the trees with [Formula: see text].

Let [Formula: see text] be a fuzzy graph on a finite set [Formula: see text] Let [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text] A fuzzy subset [Formula: see text] of [Formula: see text] is called an [Formula: see text]-fuzzy dominating set ([Formula: see text]-FD set) of G if [Formula: see text] Then [Formula: see text] is called the [Formula: see text]-fuzzy domination number of [Formula: see text] where the minimum is taken over all [Formula: see text]-FD sets [Formula: see text] of [Formula: see text] In this paper we initiate a study of this parameter and other related concepts such as [Formula: see text]-fuzzy irredundance and [Formula: see text]-fuzzy independence. We obtain the [Formula: see text]-fuzzy domination chain which is analogous to the domination chain in crisp graphs.

Let $\gamma_{m,n}$ denote the size of a minimum dominating set in the $m \times n$ grid graph. For the square grid graph, exact values for $\gamma_{n,n}$ have earlier been published for $n \leq 19$. By using a dynamic programming algorithm, the values of $\gamma_{m,n}$ for $m,n \leq 29$ are here obtained. Minimum dominating sets for square grid graphs up to size $29 \times 29$ are depicted.

Let $G = (V, E)$ be a simple graph of order $n$. A  total dominating set of $G$ is a subset $D$ of $V$, such that every vertex of $V$ is adjacent to at least one vertex in  $D$. The total domination number of $G$ is  minimum cardinality of  total dominating set in $G$ and is denoted by $\gamma_t(G)$. The total domination polynomial of $G$ is the polynomial $D_t(G,x)=\sum_{i=\gamma_t(G)}^n d_t(G,i)$, where $d_t(G,i)$ is the number of total dominating sets of $G$ of size $i$. In this paper, we study roots of the total domination polynomial of some graphs.  We show that  all roots of $D_t(G, x)$ lie in the circle with center $(-1, 0)$ and radius $\sqrt[\delta]{2^n-1}$, where $\delta$ is the minimum degree of $G$. As a consequence, we prove that if $\delta\geq \frac{2n}{3}$,  then every integer root of $D_t(G, x)$ lies in the set $\{-3,-2,-1,0\}$.

Let \(G=(V,E)\) be a simple graph. A set \(S\subseteq V\) is a dominating set if every vertex in \(V \setminus S\) is adjacent to a vertex in \(S\). The domination number of a graph \(G\), denoted by \(\gamma(G)\) is the minimum cardinality of a dominating set of \(G\). A set \(D \subseteq E\) is an edge dominating set if every edge in \(E\setminus D\) is adjacent to an edge in \(D\). The edge domination number of a graph \(G\), denoted by \(\gamma'(G)\) is the minimum cardinality of an edge dominating set of \(G\). We characterize trees with  domination number equal to twice edge domination number.

Let G be a simple graph with vertex set V(G) and edge set E(G). A set S of vertices in a graph 𝑮(𝑽,𝑬) is called a total dominating set if every vertex 𝒗 ∈ 𝑽 is adjacent to an element of S. The minimum cardinality of a total dominating set of G is called the total domination number of G which is denoted by 𝜸𝒕 (𝑮). The energy of the graph is defined as the sum of the absolute values of the eigen values of the adjacency matrix. In this paper, we computed minimum total dominating energy of a Friendship Graph, Ladder Graph and Helm graph. The Minimum total dominating energy for bistar graphand sun graph is also determined.

Let [Formula: see text] be a finite simple graph. A vertex [Formula: see text] is edge-vertex dominated by an edge [Formula: see text] if [Formula: see text] is incident with [Formula: see text] or [Formula: see text] is incident with a vertex adjacent to [Formula: see text]. An edge-vertex dominating set of [Formula: see text] is a subset [Formula: see text] such that every vertex of [Formula: see text] is edge-vertex dominated by an edge of [Formula: see text]. The edge-vertex domination number [Formula: see text] is the minimum cardinality of an edge-vertex dominating set of [Formula: see text]. In this paper, we prove that [Formula: see text] for every tree [Formula: see text] of order [Formula: see text] with [Formula: see text] leaves, and we characterize the trees attaining each of the bounds.
