For high-precision measurements of the CO2 column concentration in the atmosphere with airborne integrated path differential absorption (IPDA) Lidar, the exact distance of the Lidar beam to the scattering surface, that is, the length of the column, must be measured accurately. For the high-precision inversion of the column length, we propose a set of methods on the basis of the actual conditions, including autocorrelation detection, adaptive filtering, Gaussian decomposition, and optimized Levenberg–Marquardt fitting based on the generalized Gaussian distribution. Then, based on the information of a pair of laser pulses, we use the direct adjustment method of unequal precision to eliminate the error in the distance measurement. Further, the effect of atmospheric delay on distance measurements is considered, leading to further correction of the inversion results. At last, an airborne experiment was carried out in a sea area near Qinhuangdao, China on 14 March 2019. The results showed that the ranging accuracy can reach 0.9066 m, which achieved an excellent ranging accuracy on 1.57-μm IPDA Lidar and met the requirement for high-precision CO2 column length inversion.

The time synchronization network provides time benchmark tasks for various services in electric power system. With the development of the power grid, the applications require more and more accurate time synchronization precision. In this paper, a method of time synchronization based on adaptive filtering with a modified particle swarm optimization (MPSO-AF) was presented to satisfy the high precision and high security requirements of the time synchronization for smart grid. The modified PSO was introduced for tuning the weight coefficients of the adaptive filter to improve the filtering property. The proposed MPSO-AF hybrid algorithm can combine the advantageous properties of the modified PSO and the adaptive filtering algorithm to enhance the performance of the time synchronization. A comparison of simulation results shows the optimization efficacy of the algorithm.

Aiming at the requirement of fast-response high-precision in seawater Total Organic Carbon ( TOC) quickly measurement, this paper presented a design scheme based on AD7799.The system took 24-bit △-∑ ADC AD7799 as the core and HAMAMATSU H5784 Photo Multiplier Tube (PMT) as photo-electric sensor. The design realized the measurement of chemiluminescence that correlates to seawater TOC. The experiments in the laboratory and Qingdao sea area show that the system possesses stable operation and high reliability. The experiment results show that the measurement resolution exceeds 0.001 mg/L and the measurement accuracy is 0.01 mg/L.

By strong-field Fourier transform spectroscopy using intense pump and probe few-cycle laser pulses, the vibrational level separations of D2+ were determined with high precision by taking advantage of the dressed-state formation by the probe pulse.

Abstract The Ross Sea is located between Victoria Land and Mary Bird Land in West Antarctica. In this paper, the published gravity and magnetic data in the Ross Sea area are fused with the high-precision gravity and magnetic data measured by the ship. Then, The gravity anomaly data is used to invert the Moho depth by the Parker-Oldenburg method; the magnetic anomaly data is used to invert the Curie depth of the Ross Sea area by the power spectrum method. Finally, according to the inversion results of the Moho depth and Curie depth, the high-precision heat flow distribution in the Ross Sea area is calculated. And compared with the actual measured heat flow value and other inversion results, it shows that this inversion result has obtained a higher resolution. At the same time, the geothermal gradient is calculated by heat flow and thermal conductivity. According to the temperature-pressure equation for formation and storage of gas hydrate, the thickness of the gas hydrate stability zone in the study area was quantitatively calculated.
