The complete genome sequence of Streptococcus pneumoniae strain Rx1, a Hex mismatch repair-deficient standard transformation recipient, was obtained by combining Nanopore and Illumina sequencing technologies. The genome consists of a 2.03-Mb circular chromosome, with 2,054 open reading frames and a GC content of 39.72%.

Streptococcus pneumoniae serotype 12F rarely colonizes the nasopharynx but commonly causes invasive pneumococcal disease. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of a sequence type 4846 (ST4846) S. pneumoniae serotype 12F strain isolated from a cluster of invasive pneumococcal disease patients in Japan.

We report here the draft genome sequence of a Streptococcus pneumoniae strain isolated in Monterrey, Mexico, MTY1662SN214, from a man with purpura fulminans. The strain belongs to the invasive and multidrug-resistant serogroup 19A, sequence type 320 (ST320). The draft genome sequence consists of 60 large contigs, a total of 2,069,474 bp, and has a G+C content of 39.7%.

We report the complete genome sequence of Streptococcus pneumoniae EF3030, a serotype 19F isolate that colonizes the nasopharynx of mice while being mostly noninvasive. Such attributes make this strain highly attractive in pneumococcal carriage studies.
