Key Points Aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) mediates the ERK-dependent maintenance of the immature state of monocyte-derived dendritic cells (MDDCs). MEK-ERK regulates antigen capture, lymph node homing, and the acquisition of maturation-associated genes in MDDCs.
