scholarly journals Classification of Pruning Methodologies for Model Development using Data Mining Techniques

Knowledge discovery process deals with two essential data mining techniques, association and classification. Classification produces a set of large number of associative classification rules for a given observation. Pruning removes unnecessary class association rules without losing classification accuracy. These processes are very significant but at the same time very challenging. The experimental results and limitations of existing class association rules mining techniques have shown that there is a requirement to consider more pruning parameters so that the size of classifier can be further optimized. Here through this paper we are presenting a survey various strategies for class association rule pruning and study their effects that enables us to extract efficient compact and high confidence class association rule set and we have also proposed a pruning methodology..

This paper investigates the existing practices and prospects of medical data classification based on data mining techniques. It highlights major advanced classification approaches used to enhance classification accuracy. Past research has provided literature on medical data classification using data mining techniques. From extensive literature analysis, it is found that data mining techniques are very effective for the task of classification. This paper analysed comparatively the current advancement in the classification of medical data. The findings of the study showed that the existing classification of medical data can be improved further. Nonetheless, there should be more research to ascertain and lessen the ambiguities for classification to gain better precision.

A method of tendency mining in dynamic association rule based on compatibility feature vector SVM classifier is proposed. Firstly, the class association rule set named CARs is mined by using the method of tendency mining in dynamic association rules. Secondly, the algorithm of SVM is used to construct the classifier based on compatibility feature vector to classify the obtained CARs taking advantage when dealing with high complex data. It uses a method based on judging rules’ weight to construct the model. At last, the method is compared with the traditional methods with respect to the mining accuracy. The method can solve the problem of high time complexity and have a higher accuracy than the traditional methods which is helpful to make mining dynamic association rules more accurate and effective. By analyzing the final results, it is proved that the method has lower complexity and higher classification accuracy.

A buffet restaurant is a restaurant that provides buffet food that is served directly at the dining table so that customers can order more food according to their needs. This study uses the association rule method which is one of the methods of data mining and a priori algorithms. Data mining is the process of discovering patterns or rules in data, in which the process must be automatic or semi-automatic. Association rules are one of the techniques of data mining that is used to look for relationships between items in a dataset. While  the apriori algorithm is a very well-known algorithm for finding high-frequency patterns, this a priori algorithm is a type of association rule in data mining. High- frequency patterns are patterns of items in the database that have frequencies or support. This high-frequency pattern is used to develop rules and also some other data mining techniques. The composition of the food menu in the Asgar restaurant is now arranged randomly without being prepared on the food menu between one another. The result of this research is  to support the composition of the food menu at the Asgar restaurant so that it is easier to take food menu with one another.

Data mining is a technique that finds relationships and trends in large datasets to promote decision support. Classification is a data mining technique that maps data into predefined classes often referred as supervised learning because classes are determined before examining data. Different classification algorithms have been proposed for the effective classification of data. Among others, Weka is an open-source data mining software with which classification can be achieved. It is also well suited for developing new machine learning schemes. It allows users to quickly compare different machine learning methods on new datasets. It has several graphical user interfaces that enable easy access to the underlying functionality. CBA is a data mining tool which not only produces an accurate classifier for prediction, but it is also able to mine various forms of association rules. It has better classification accuracy and faster mining speed. It can build accurate classifiers from relational data and mine association rules from relational data and transactional data. CBA also has many other features like cross validation for evaluating classifiers and allows the user to view and to query the discovered rules.
