scholarly journals Impact of Execution Planning on Agile Project Success with Mediating and Moderating Mechanism

The present study investigated the impact of execution planning on agile project success with the mediating role of information sharing and moderating role of organization effectiveness because of the highlighted importance of agile methodology in the project industry due to its interactive customer collaborative approach. For this purpose, data were collected from software industry in Pakistan who utilize agile methodology in their projects. 300 completed questionnaires were received from the distributed and 280 were utilized for data analysis. The results delineated that execution planning has positive and significant relationship with agile project success. Similarly, the results indicated that information sharing mediates the relationship between execution planning and agile project success. Furthermore, the data showed that organization effectiveness moderates the relationship of execution planning and information sharing. Lastly, we conclude with theoretical and practical implications as well as future research directions.

Abstract. Marketers are increasingly relying on covert advertising tactics to persuade consumers. This empirical study selected the context of an emerging market to examine the effectiveness of product placements. Using an experimental design, we captured the affective and behavioral responses of young Indian adults. The results indicated that young adults are positive about product placements. The mediating role of brand attitude change in the relationship between attitude toward product placements and purchase intentions is established. The study provides valuable insights into the impact of execution factors on viewers’ responses. Implications and directions for future research are discussed based on the results of this study.

The objective of the present study is to investigate the impact of inclusive leadership on project success with the mediating role of innovative work behavior and moderating role of knowledge sharing. Data were collected from information technology projects in Pakistan. After validating the proposed model, path analysis was conducted. The findings revealed that inclusive leadership is significantly related with innovative work behavior and project success. Further, the findings showed that innovative work mediates the relationship between inclusive leadership and project success. Moreover, knowledge sharing doesn't moderate the relationship between inclusive leadership and innovative work behavior. The theoretical and practical implications and limitations of the study are discussed in detail.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to investigate the interrelationship between trust, socialization, and information sharing on the buying firm’s innovation capability in the context of the buyer-supplier relationship (BSR). A nomological model is developed that examines the mediating role of relational capital (supplier trust) on the relationship between structural capital (socialization and information sharing) and innovation capability. Design/methodology/approach A survey was conducted on 357 US executives. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the hypothesized relationships. Findings Information sharing and formal socialization activities increased the buying firm’s trust in its key supplier. However, formal socialization activities within the context of the business environment did not have a significant direct impact on buyer’s innovative capabilities; but when mediated by trust, it positively impacted innovation capabilities. Informal socialization within the context of the social environment directly impacted innovation capabilities but trust did not mediate the relationship. Information sharing impacted trust and innovation significantly and trust mediated the impact of information sharing on innovation capabilities. Originality/value This study defines the formal and informal aspects of socialization and investigates its impact on trust and buyer innovation capabilities. This is one of the few studies that highlights the mediating role of trust between firms to facilitate innovation capability.

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the mediating role of trust in the relationship of justice and employee engagement (EE) in Indian B-schools. Design/methodology/approach – Multiple regression was carried out on the responses obtained from 320 academics working in different Indian B-schools. Findings – The results showed that vertical trust (VT) partially mediates the procedural justice (PJ) and the EE relationship. Distributive justice, PJ, VT and EE were found to be significantly correlated with each other. Research limitations/implications – A very important implication from the findings is that the research will help the Indian B-schools engage their employees in a better manner and face the challenging environment. Future research can be carried out on finding the mediating effects of leader member exchange on VT-EE relationships with other levels of higher education. Originality/value – The current study empirically proved that a good level of PJ leads to a high level of VT and which ultimately results in engaged academics in Indian B-schools.

The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating role of motivation between the relationship of perceived training utility and transfer of training. Data were obtained from 215 employees working in the banking sector. SPSS and AMOS statistical software were used to test the hypothesized model. Consistent with social cognitive theory, results suggested a significant positive relationship of perceived training utility with motivation to transfer and transfer of training. The results further revealed that the relationship between perceived training utility and transfer of training had an indirect effect via Motivation to transfer. This study has made a significant theoretical contribution to the literature by exploring the mechanism through which perceived training utility affects transfer of training. This study will help HRD professionals to understand the importance of perceived training utility in transfer of training.

The purpose of the study was to examine the impact of openness to experience on project success with the mediating role of creativity and moderating role of uncertainty avoidance. Data were collected from 100 project managers by using questionnaires. In order to analyze the relationship regression and correlation techniques were used, which indicated the positive impact of openness to experience on creativity. The results of study indicated positive and significant impacts of predictors on response variables.

The Purpose of this study is to enhance the understanding of relationship between co-worker support, and project efficiency in the presence of mediating role of team cohesiveness and moderating role of Project culture. The context of this study is projects that are taking place in Pakistan. Data were collected from 100 participants, who participated in project as a team member, using structured questionnaire. Findings suggested that project efficiency is affected by co-coworker support in a positive manner, in the presence of team cohesiveness. Regression analysis for moderating and mediating variables was performed using Model 4 and 1 of the Process Macros for SPSS presented by Preacher and Hayes. It has been found that team cohesiveness mediates the relationship of co-worker support and project efficiency. Moreover, the project culture plays a moderating role on the relation of co-worker support and team cohesiveness. In the end the implications for project managers and future research are discussed.

This paper aims to identify the impact of Technology Orientation on the relationship of Realized Absorptive Capability and Exploitative Innovation. Using a sample of 194 firms located in Albania, we empirically test the mediating role of Technology Orientation. Nowadays, Innovation is not anymore a new phenomenon. In the literature a lot of studies have seen it with a close connection to technology. In some other study, in case of a dynamic environment, firms with realized absorptive capability are more predisposed to absorb technology and to be able to be update with it. Since technology is considered as an auxiliary tool to innovation, we considered it specifically for exploitative innovation which can increase even the efficiency of firms. The focus of this study is placed on knowledge-intensive sector in order to better capture the effect of these variables. The results demonstrate that the Technology Orientation has a full mediating role on this relationship. The Realized Absorptive Capability has not any impact on Exploitative Innovation in case of the lack of Technology Orientation.

The aim of this study was to investigate the role of universities in promoting sustainability and sustainable development goals among Indian students as future entrepreneurs, supporting the mission of sustainability. Using PLS-SEM (n = 422), we checked the influence of three constructs related to the university’s role, i.e., campus sustainability, environmental sustainability, and education on sustainability at the university, on attitudes towards sustainability among students, on one hand, and on the intention to start entrepreneurship for sustainability, on the other hand. We also looked into the impact of attitude towards sustainability-related entrepreneurship on the intention to start entrepreneurship for sustainability, as well as into the mediating role of attitude on the relationship between the three mentioned constructs and sustainability entrepreneurial intentions. Results suggest that campus sustainability and education on sustainability positively influence the attitude towards sustainability of the students. Additionally, campus sustainability and environmental sustainability influence students to start entrepreneurship for sustainability. Further, a positive attitude towards sustainability-related entrepreneurship impacts the sustainability entrepreneurial intentions. Attitude towards sustainability mediates the relationship of campus sustainability and environmental sustainability with the sustainability entrepreneurial intentions. The study will be helpful for the universities, students, researchers, and curriculum developers to understand the role of educational institutes and its policies towards sustainability in shaping the intentions towards sustainable entrepreneurship.

This research examine the mediating role of brand credibility between the relationship of hotel attributes and brand attachment that will to lead to post-consumption outcomes. We also examine how hotel attributes contributes to the brand attachment and post-consumption outcomes.Based on the mean-end chain theory, it explores the relationship among six constructs; hotel attributes, brand credibility, brand attachment and post-consumption outcomes (i.e., satisfaction, revisit intention and word-of-mouth). Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) approach was deployed to validate the research model. The result indicatesbrand credibility fully mediates the relationship between hotel attributes and brand attachment. Subsequently, brand credibility and brand attachment are found to be significantly linked with post-consumption outcomes. The result offers implications for hotelier and direction for future research.
