scholarly journals Optical Line Monitoring System using Optical Fiber Closure

This paper examines an optical fiber closure and optical line monitoring system. Currently available optical fiber closures do not support centralized real-time control of their on/off status when opening business to business (B2B) and business to company (B2C) lines. This problem can be addressed by a range of methods such as real-time optical line monitoring, optical line failure alerts followed by immediate search of the failure location, an optical fiber closure open/closed state monitoring and alert system, and a periodic optical line status inspection system. This paper investigates a monitoring system in which a connector and a tray are installed inside an optical fiber closure to enable the operator to turn it off to block optical signals so that the central office can detect faults in real time through an optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) and issue an alert. This study is expected to contribute to network quality stabilization by enabling a rapid and efficient optical line management.

In this paper, one ground freezing monitoring system based on Zigbee is designed. System is divided into four parts: sensor cable based on 1-wire technology, monitoring terminal with a drive circuit based on Zigbee, Zigbee coordinator and monitoring host with the function of network. This paper mainly introduces the network communication system. The system is suitable for the construction site of the engineering test; anti-interference and robustness of system are strong. It implements the project managers and experts operation of real-time control without time and space limits for freezing monitoring system. It provides technical support for the application of freezing engineering.

Using the network communication technology, Winsock technology, TCP/IP protocol, image compression and transmission technology, the process of communication technology and object oriented software technology to realize the main frame module, the system include network monitoring data initialization module, data transmission module, image coding and decoding module, its advantage is to make full use of the existing network resources, the highest price, with real-time information control and real-time control as the center, timely delivery and management of information.

In this paper, the remote monitoring system based on Internet technology has been studied, PLC control and operation of the terminal as the site is used, collected field data through the PC and the web server, analog data to achieve a live remote users in real-time viewing and real-time control of field devices, through collection of data transmitted over the Internet. Hydraulic support is widely used under the mine while the pressure is the most important factors of its safety.In view of the defects about present pressure monitor of mining hydraulic support ,designing a mining hydraulic support pressure monitoring system based on LabVIEW.This article mainly introducing the overall structure of the system, hydraulic system principle, the LabVIEW program, data communication and interface design.Using LabVIEW collection and storage support’s real-time pressure information. On the basis of the single chip microcomputer and the LabVIEW for data processing and display, improving the real-time control of hydraulic support.

This project put forward a kind of new low-cost real-time monitoring system of carbon dioxide. First, this equipment guides the gas into the device of chemical reaction by using step motor and measures the change of the gas’s volume which is guided into the device of chemical reaction after the reaction between the CO2 and NaOH by using the data-acquisition unit. Then, it processes data with Freescale MC9S12XS128 MCU and calculates the concentration of the CO2, in the meantime sends the data to the PC system by APC220V 3.0 wireless module, then using PC system makes the real time control over the concentration of the CO2 come true. Finally, detecting concentration accurately and steadily is achieved.
