The global popularity and rise of superhero movies from companies such as Marvel, DC Comics, and Dream Works has led to these superhero icons being increasingly integrated into the event and entertainment industry, through brand alliances at movie theme parks and integrated resort complexes, or individual attractions such as the Batman Dark Flight (BDF) ride studied in this research. Given the significant costs to license, stage, and maintain superhero branded entertainment zones and rides at integrated resorts (IR), this preliminary study importantly examined the rationale behind visiting the ride and ultimately the ride's overall influence in IR visitation. Respondents were questioned while queuing for the BDF ride collecting 304 valid responses specifically asked on their level of interest in Batman including the motives for choosing the ride. Notably the study revealed that the BDF was essentially a peripheral attraction. In the absence of the ride, most respondents would still have visited the IR. Although a preliminary analysis, the findings suggest greater assessment is required on the net economic and competitive worth of event and entertainment hosting at Macao's IRs and in particular to Chinese audiences who make up most of Macao's visitation and this study sample.

Cultural display in an open space or known as cultural parks appears rapidly as a worldwide phenomenon. From the European model which has a strong educational value, to the Asian parks which not only has educational function, but also has recreational purposes. So many types and characteristics of these parks, researches give them different names, thodse are Open-air museums, Ethnographic Theme Parks or even Theme Parks. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah as a part of this phenomenon was built first and foremost for educational purposes, therefore Taman Mini can be considered as an open-air museum. However, since Taman Mini also has recreational purposes, others can argue that Taman Mini is a theme park. Qualitative method will be used for this research, through observation to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, followed by extensive literature review. With these data along with a table which points out the distinction between museum and theme parks. It can  be concluded that Taman Mini is a Theme Park.

We evaluated 4 “experience industry” strategies for enhancing the quality of immediate experiences for 4-H youth: theming, adding multisensory experiences, personalizing interactions, and providing memorabilia. These strategies are commonly used by theme parks, restaurants, resorts, attractions, and other experience industry organizations, but their application to youth services is sporadic. 4-H youth (n = 30) participated in a series of 8 outdoor recreation activity sessions. Each activity session, 1 per week for 8 consecutive weeks, was structured using a unique combination of the 4 strategies. Participants completed questionnaires measuring 5 dimensions of experience quality after each activity session. Theme and personalization of experiences were found to significantly increase experience quality.
