The oribatid mite subgenus Scheloribates (Topobates) Grandjean, 1958, is recorded from the Neotropical region for the first time. A new species of this subgenus is described from the leaf litter collected in Cayo Agua Island, Panama. Scheloribates (Topobates) panamaensis sp. nov. differs from its related species by the very large body size and presence of a strong ventrodistal process on the leg femora II–IV.

A new species of oribatid mite of the family Galumnidae, Pergalumna sistanbaluchestanica sp. nov., is described and illustrated based on adult specimens from soil in Sistan and Baluchestan province, southeastern Iran. The new species is characterized by dentate rostrum; long interlamellar setae; long, setiform, finely barbed bothridial setae; complete dorsosejugal furrow; large, nearly triangular porose areas Aa; presence of median pore in females and males; large, elongated postanal porose area and large body size. The new species is most similar morphologically to P. seminervosa Mahunka & Mahunka-Papp, 2008, however, differs from it in morphology of bothridial setae and notogastral porose areas Aa and also by the surface ornamentation of the pteromorphs and genital plates; localization of setal alveoli la and lyrifissures im and body size. An identification key to known species of Pergalumna from the Palaearctic region is given.

A new oribatid mite species of the genus Galumna (Oribatida, Galumnidae) is described from Ethiopia, based on the material collected from litter and fallen leaves on the Sanetti Plateau, Bale Mountains. Galumna (Galumna) paracapensis Ermilov sp. n. differs from Galumna (Galumna) capensis Engelbrecht, 1969 in larger body size, strongly elongate postanal porose area, long longitudinal parts of porose areas Aa and the presence of sculpturing on prodorsum and pteromorphs.

A new species of oribatid mite of the family Galumnidae is described and illustrated based on adult specimens from soil in Mashhad county, Razavi Khorasan Province, northeastern Iran. Pilogalumna khorasanica sp. nov. is characterised by rounded rostrum; very long interlamellar setae; long, nearly setiform, finely bilaterally barbed bothridial setae; medially interrupted dorsosejugal furrow; elongated porose areas A2, very long and narrow, ribbon shaped A3 and large body size. The new species is most similar morphologically to Pilogalumna crassiclava longiareata (Pérez-Íñigo, 1976), however, differs from it in morphology of bothridial setae and structure of notogastral porose areas, by the presence of longer interlamellar setae and larger body size. An updated identification key to known species of Pilogalumna is presented.

A new species of Cerocepheus (Oribatida, Cerocepheidae) is described from rainforest litter in southern Chile. Cerocepheus osornoensis sp. nov. differs from Cerocepheus mirabilis by the smaller body size and the presence of bidentate lamellar cusps. Revised generic diagnosis, data on distribution of Cerocepheus and an identification key to known species of Cerocepheidae are presented.

A new oribatid mite species of the genus Galumna (Oribatida, Galumnidae) is described from South Africa, based on museum collection material. Galumna (Galumna) paralawrencei sp. n. differs from Galumna (Galumna) lawrencei Jacot, 1940 by the larger body size, the localization of adanal lyrifissures, and the presence of a hump-like structure in the anterior part of the prodorsum and distinctly longer notogastral porose areas Aa, A2, A3 and anal and adanal setae.

A new species of oribatid mite, Scheloribates daoensis sp. nov. is described from grass rhizosphere of meadow in the Tam Dao National Park, Northern Vietnam. It is morphologically most similar to S. striolatus Balogh, 1960, but differs by the body size, the morphology of bothridial setae, the length of circumpedal carinae and the distance between sacculi S1–S1. An identification key to known species/subspecies of striolatus-group of Scheloribates is provided.

The present study is based on oribatid mite materials collected from Mozambique in 2019. A list of identified taxa, including 53 species/subspecies from 44 genera and 28 families is provided. Of these, six species are new to science, all other taxa are recorded for the first time in the Mozambican fauna. One new species, Galumnella mikhailovi Ermilov sp. nov., is described herein: it is similar to G. csavasorum in the presence of setiform, unilaterally spinose bothridial setae and rugose notogaster, but differs in smaller body size, the presence of monodactylous legs and rounded rostrum, as well as in the absence of sublamellar line and rugose sculpturing in the anogenital region.

A new species of the genus Holoaden is described from the Atlantic forest of the state of São Paulo, Brazil, being restricted to primary or slightly disturbed high altitude cloud forests along the northeastern portion of the Serra do Mar. The typelocality is determined as Estação Ecológica de Bananal, in the Municipality of Bananal, State of São Paulo, Brazil. The new species is characterized by its moderate body size (female 42.6–44.2 mm SVL; male 37.2–38.5 mm SVL) with long and slender limbs, a head wider than long, a highly glandular dorsum, covered by well developed macroglands that extend to the internasal region, thigh and tibia, and an intense dark brown dorsal coloration and dark grey ventral surface.
