Two new genera and four new species of cave-adapted ground beetles are described from Sichuan Province, southwestern China. Uenoaphaenopsgen. nov. is established to place the trechine species Qianotrechus fani Uéno, 2003 occurring in the limestone cave Hua’er Dong, southeastern Sichuan (Luzhou: Gulin). Chu pheggomisetoidesgen. nov. & sp. nov., from the limestone cave Hanwang Dong, northeastern Sichuan (Guangyuan: Chaotian), is somewhat like the European cavernicolous trechine genus Pheggomisetes Knirsch, 1923, from Bulgaria and Serbia, in particular in the configurations of head and pronotum. Boreaphaenops liyuanisp. nov., also from Hanwang Dong, is the second representative of the genus and the first record in Sichuan. Agonotrechus sinotroglophilus Deuve, 1999, a troglophile, is reported from Sichuan for the first time. The other two new species belong to the platynine genus Jujiroa Uéno, 1952: J. uenoisp. nov. from the cave Banche Dong on the northern side of the Dadu River (Leshan: Shawan) and J. wangzhenisp. nov. from the cave Hua’er Dong, which is sympatric with Uenoaphaenops fani (Uéno, 2003) comb. nov. A distribution map for the localities of all abovementioned caves and a key to Jujiroa species known in Sichuan are provided.

Two new species of cave-adapted ground beetles are described and illustrated from Sichuan Province, southwestern China: Jujiroa zhouchaoi sp. nov. from the calcareous conglomerate cave Shenxian Dong in Mt. Zhaogong (Dujiangyan, Chengdu) and Pterostichus (Huaius) hanwang sp. nov. from the limestone cave Hanwang Dong (Chaotian, Guangyuan). A new locality for Jujiroa deliciola Uéno and Kishimoto, 2001 is given. Keys to species of the genus Jujiroa Uéno, 1952 and the subgenus Huaius Tian and Huang, 2019 (in Tian et al. 2019) are also provided.

The pauropod family Colinauropodidae Scheller, 1985 is recorded from China for the first time. Three new species of the genus Colinauropus Remy, 1956 are described: Colinauropus chinensissp. nov. and C. chongzhouisp. nov. from Jiangsu Province, and C. foliosussp. nov. from Sichuan Province. They can be easily separated from similar species by the number and the shape of sclerotized plates on the tergites, setae on the body and the anal plate. A key for all species of the genus is provided.

The chernetid genus Orochernes Beier, 1968 is reported from China for the first time. Orochernes ganziensis sp. n. is described from the Sichuan Province and characterized through illustrations and genetic data. The spermathecae of the genus Orochernes are illustrated for the first time.

A new species of the Amphinemurinae genus Sphaeronemoura is described, S. multicurvata sp. n., from Sichuan Province of southwestern China. The relationships with other related species are discussed. Sphaeronemoura elephas (Zwick, 1974) is also for the first time reported from Jiangxi Province of southeastern China.

Additional specimens of Neoperla caii Li & Wang, 2017 are recorded from Sichuan Province of southwestern China. Morphological variation in the adult male is discussed and illustrated. The adult female of N. caii is described and illustrated for the first time. In addition, a new species, Kamimuria petasus sp. nov. is described from Sichuan Province. The adult male of this new species is characterized by subtriangular basal callus on the hemitergal lobe and by the aedeagus with a hat-shaped apex.

The genus Soliperla Ricker, 1952 has been considered endemic to western North America, is now reported from Sichuan Province of southwestern China. In this paper, we describe a new species, S. wanglanga Huo & Du, sp. nov. The new species is characterized by a large inverted trapezoid sclerite on tergum 10, a bilobed aedeagal apex, and large dark areas on the frontoclypeus in the adult male. The nymph has conspicuous pale areas on terga 4–7.

Euastrum lacustre is reported for Russia for the first time. This alcaliphilic species was found in the periphyton and plankton of three lakes in the Kursk Region (European Russia). A description of morphology, including the relief of cell wall, and habitats where this taxon is found are represented. LM and SEM microphotographs are provided. Morphological differences of E. lacustre from similar species are discussed. New species for region, namely Closterium aciculare, Cosmarium formosulum, C. granatum, C. pseudoinsigne, C. reniforme and Staurastrum pingue, are found in the samples together with E. lacustre.

The genus Yalvaciana Ciplak et.al (2002) is reported for the first time from India represented by a new species. Previously the genus comprised a single species, Yalvaciana yalvaci Demirsoy, (1974). Brief information about morphology, distribution and key to species are given. The Holotype has been deposited in the Museum of Zoology Department, AMU (ZDAMU).

Paleocene spatangoids are unknown from the Antilles, apart from evidence from trace fossils. The peak of spatangoid diversity was the Eocene. Jamaican Oligo-Miocene spatangoids have a relatively low diversity compared with that of the Antillean region. Plio-Pleistocene spatangoids are poorly known from the Antilles (four genera), in contrast to the Oligo-Miocene (16 genera) and Holocene (17 genera). The depauperate Paleocene and Plio-Pleistocene spatangoid faunas are probably in part artifacts of incomplete sampling, facies-related absences, outcrop area effects and the relative brevity of these stratigraphic intervals.To the large echinoid fauna of the Swanswick Formation (Middle-Upper Eocene) of Jamaica is added the schizasterid Aguayoaster schickleri new species. This is the first record of this genus outside Cuba; it is distinctly more elongate than all other known specimens of this genus. The schizasterid Caribbaster loveni (Cotteau, 1875) is recorded from the Swanswick Formation for the first time, the youngest occurrence of this genus in Jamaica. The coeval Claremont Formation has not previously yielded spatangoid echinoids; the brissid Eupatagus cf. antillarum (Cotteau) from a new locality is the first spatangoid known from a lagoonal unit of the White Limestone Group.

Loneuroides is registered for the first time in Brazil. A new species from the Brazilian state of Bahia, is here described and illustrated. It differs from all the other species in the genus in details of the female ninth sternum and by number of primary branches in vein M of fore- and hind- wings. A map with the distribution of the species of Loneuroides is included.
