<p>In this paper, we are concerned with the Cauchy problem of inhomogeneous incompressible magnetic Bénard equations with vacuum as far-field density in $ \Bbb R^2 $. We prove that if the initial density and magnetic field decay not too slowly at infinity, the system admits a unique global strong solution. Note that the initial data can be arbitrarily large and the initial density can contain vacuum states and even has compact support. Moreover, we extend the result of [16, 17] to the global one.</p>

We prove the local existence, uniqueness and stability of local solutions for the Cauchy problem of two-dimensional compressible Euler equations, where the initial data of velocity, density, specific vorticity [Formula: see text] and the spatial derivative of specific vorticity [Formula: see text].

In this work, we focus on the Cauchy problem for the Poisson equation in the two dimensional domain, where the initial data is disturbed by random noise. In general, the problem is severely ill-posed in the sense of Hadamard, i.e., the solution does not depend continuously on the data. To regularize the instable solution of the problem, we have applied a nonparametric regression associated with the truncation method. Eventually, a numerical example has been carried out, the result shows that our regularization method is converged; and the error has been enhanced once the number of observation points is increased.

We consider the Cauchy problem for the damped wave equation with time-dependent damping and a power-type nonlinearity |u|ρ. For some large initial data, we will show that the solution to the damped wave equation will blow up within a finite time. Moreover, we can show the upper bound of the life-span of the solution.

In this paper, we consider the Cauchy problem for the 2D inviscid Boussinesq equations with N being the buoyancy frequency. It is proved that for general initial data u 0 ∈ H s with s > 3 , the life span of the classical solutions satisfies T > C ln     N 3 / 4 .
