Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the differences in the perception between professors and students regarding medical educators’ roles and discuss their desirable roles. Methods: A survey was administered to 116 professors and 379 students of the medical colleges from Dankook University and Hallym University. The subjects were given a self-created questionnaire designed to measure their perception of medical educators’ roles. Results: First, “student performance management” for professors and “teaching skill development” for students were recognized as the most essential medical educators’ role. Second, females students perceived the roles to be more important than males in eight of 10 roles. Conclusion: First, “student performance management” for professors and “teaching skill development” for students were recognized as the most essential medical educators’ role. Second, females students perceived the roles to be more important than males in eight of 10 roles.

Student Performance Management is one of the key pillars of the higher education institutions since it directly impacts the student’s career prospects and college rankings. This paper follows the path of learning analytics and educational data mining by applying machine learning techniques in student data for identifying students who are at the more likely to fail in the university examinations and thus providing needed interventions for improved student performance. The Paper uses data mining approach with 10 fold cross validation to classify students based on predictors which are demographic and social characteristics of the students. This paper compares five popular machine learning algorithms Rep Tree, Jrip, Random Forest, Random Tree, Naive Bayes algorithms based on overall classifier accuracy as well as other class specific indicators i.e. precision, recall, f-measure. Results proved that Rep tree algorithm outperformed other machine learning algorithms in classifying students who are at more likely to fail in the examinations.

The inequality of digital skills is an organizational challenge experienced by public and private organizations to ensure work productivity in work-from-home arrangements during Covid-19. This article aims to elaborate on digital skill development and examine the effects of digital leadership and digital collaboration on digital skill development. This article is based on a cross-sectional study involved 824 office workers from 32 provinces in Indonesia. The combined convenience and snowballing approach were used as the sampling methods. The collected data were structured in the first-order constructs by PLS Structural Equation Modeling. The results revealed that digital skills are significantly influenced directly by digital collaboration and indirectly by digital leadership. For accelerating digital skill development, the superior of office workers should facilitate their team members to collaborate intensively by using digital technology. Further study is recommended to examine the effects of other factors such as work motivation, family support, and availability of digital facility at home, performance management, and perceived organizational support.

This study was carried out to get an idea about the views of medical educators and intern doctors regarding the current undergraduate medical curriculum. A partially descriptive open ended questionnaire was distributed among teachers of all three phases and intern doctors in undergraduate curriculum in different public and private medical colleges in Bangladesh and was returned by 120 teachers and 663 intern doctors. Qualitative analysis of data was done. Among teachers 70% agreed to need for changes, 68.4% were in favor of present internship training system and 85% were against ‘carry on’ system. But 94% and 51% of intern doctors were in favor of need changes of curriculum and present internship training respectively. 91% were against ‘carry on’ system. This chapter presents the findings of a systematic review of the literature on supervisory practices for supporting criminal justice staff. It reviews the key approaches to professional supervision within the helping professions; paying particular attention to supervisor competencies associated with ‘what works’ in enhancing practitioner skill development within youth justice. The findings indicate that supervisory practices motivated by a performance management agenda could undermine reflective practice, skills development and service-user engagement.

This study is about student teachers' basic teaching skills especially in delivering gaining attention, presenting stimulus materials, and assessing performance. The purpose of this study is to find out whether or not student teachers' skill in gaining attention, presenting stimulus materials, and assessing performance was developed during their teaching practice period. To achieve the first purpose, the data were collected through observations and interviews. The observation was conducted during student teachers' teaching-learning sessions. The interview was conducted to support the data from interview. The source for interview was student teachers' mentor teachers. The result of this study was that two of four student teachers had developed their teaching skills in gaining attention while the other two did not develop their skills. This study has showed that besides students' ability, willingness, and support from mentor teachers abd peers are needed to develop their teaching skills.
