The Software Industry in Egypt

During the 1960s computing was introduced to Egypt. Its use and applications were limited to the government and the public sector. During the 1980s the introduction and diffusion of computing was widespread following the global personal computer evolution. Personal computers effectively impacted organizational development and growth due to the continuous developments in the information technology industry and caused by hardware penetration, software innovations, and the build-up of the telecommunications infrastructure. This article assesses the software industry in Egypt as a major building block of the information technology industry and a possible active contributor to business and socioeconomic development at large.

During the 1960s, computing was introduced for the first time in Egypt. However, the use and applications was limited to the government and the public sector. It was only during the early 1980s that the introduction and diffusion of computing was widespread due to the personal computer evolution worldwide. The introduction of personal computers had different implications on organizational development and growth and was coupled with other developments in the information technology industry that relate to hardware penetration, software development, and the build-up of the telecommunications infrastructure. This chapter demonstrates the current status of information technology in Egypt with a focus on the assessment of the software industry as a major building block of the information technology industry and a possible active contributor to business and socioeconomic development at large.

Personal computers effectively affected organizational development and growth due to the continuous developments in the information technology industry and caused by increasing hardware penetration, software innovations, and the build-up of the telecommunications and information infrastructures. This chapter assesses the recent developments in the software industry in Egypt, especially post to the establishment of the ministry of communications and information technology late in the 1990’s as a major building block of the information technology industry and a possible active contributor to economic development at large through a strong, quality and much needed export-oriented software industry that could have concrete implications on the economy.

Background: In the 1960s, the human coronavirus was designated, which is responsible for the upper respiratory tract disease in children. Back in 2003, mainly 5 new coronaviruses were recognized. This study directly pursues to govern knowledge, attitude and practice of viral and droplet infection isolation safeguard among the researchers during the outbreak of the COVID-19. Introduction: Coronavirus is a proteinaceous and infectious pathogen. It is an etiological agent of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS). Coronavirus, appeared in China from the seafood and poultry market last year, which has spread in various countries, and has caused several deaths. Methods: The literature data has been taken from different search platforms like PubMed, Science Direct, Embase, Web of Science, who.int portal and complied. Results: Corona virology study will be more advanced and outstanding in recent years. COVID-19 epidemic is a threatening reminder not solely for one country but all over the universe. Conclusion: In this review article, we encapsulated the pathogenesis, geographical spread of coronavirus worldwide, also discussed the perspective of diagnosis, effective treatment, and primary recommendations by the World Health Organization, and guidelines of the government to slow down the impact of the virus are also optimistic, efficacious and obliging for the public health. However, it will take a prolonged time in the future to overcome this epidemic.

Based on the history before the reform era, there have been many cases of government committing corruption, collusion and nepotism, this is the background of the movement to create a government to run good governance. As time has progressed, the time has come for a time that is all full of digitalization, both in the economy, education and politics. This research uses normative legal research methods. This study shows that the government in running its government will also be based on the development of sophisticated information technology which can be called E-Government. Therefore, there is now a time when the Indonesian government has used and allowed the Online Single Submission (OSS) system to make it easier for people who want to take care of business licensing. The implementation of good governance during the Industry 4.0 Revolution can take advantage of science, technology and information to provide good facilities and services to the Indonesian people, and the public can easily access government information.
