Electronic government (e-gov) has not been implemented as extensively in many developing countries as in developed countries, especially in certain fields, such as occupational safety and health (OSH). This chapter considers e-gov that is effected through the websites of leading OSH bodies in a developing country, Trinidad and Tobago, and two developed nations, the USA and UK. Using a content analysis and comparison exercise, OSH e-gov shortcomings and opportunities in T&T are noted. Improvement recommendations include development of a strategy and strategy execution plan to boost stakeholder recognition of the value of the OSH agency and OSH e-gov in T&T; partnership-building to make resources available for OSH e-gov enhancement; enhanced accessibility and utility via a wider range of media formats to users; better stakeholder responsiveness via engagement with social media and better online support; and increased data collection and analysis in order to drive continual improvement.

As Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) embraces the digital age, one field in which the country must advance is Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). This paper seeks to identify how T&T's Occupational Safety and Health Agency (TTOSHA) addresses e-government (e-gov) through its website, how its approach compares to those used by leading OSH bodies in two first-world countries, the USA (US) and the UK, and how the T&T approach may be improved. The OSH e-gov practices of the US OSHA, UK HSE, and TTOSHA websites are presented. Through a content analysis and comparison exercise, e-gov shortcomings of the TTOSHA site are noted and recommendations for improvement are proposed. The paper's potential benefits include improved accessibility and utility of the TTOSHA site through improved matching of site content to international practice, broader ranges of resource topics and media types, improved responsiveness and connectivity with stakeholders, and better focus on OSH performance through the dissemination of searchable OSH statistics and performance reports.

The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health of the USA (NIOSH), which belongs to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), created the Center for the Study of Professional Robotics (CORR) and requests information to determine the priority areas of research. These are gaps in knowledge on the safety and health of people working with industrial robotics, with a focus on the field of occupational safety and health, which are unlikely to be conducted by other federal agencies, academia, or the private sector. The request was signed by NIOSH Director John J. Howard, CORR’s curator is Hongwei Xiao, Ph.D.; CORR funding is provided for by the NIOSH strategic work plan for 2019–2023. Below besides to the directions of CORR comments, the main information hygiene (IG) developments published in Russia are outlined. The role of sanitary inspection is also noted, along with standardization and regulation by competent authorities: the WHO / ILO Joint Committee on Occupational Health, ISO, IEC, etc. The Technical Committee of Rosstandart TC–194 “CyberPhysical Systems” was established in Russia, which began with terminology. The article presents a brief translation of the CORR request with our comments and some domestic literature on IG, thus reflecting two mainstreams of occupational safety and health robotics.Funding. Manual Material Handling (MMH) is a risky activity that causes low back pain and has become a worldwide phenomenon, not only in developed countries, but also occur in developing countries. One effort to reduce the injury caused by MMH is the Reccomended Weight Limit (RWL) equation, published by NIOSH. However, NIOSH equation is more tested and researched in European and America. Therefore, it is necessary adjustment for Indonesia people. In this paper, the author analyze the vertical multiplier factor in NIOSH equation for male workers in Indonesia. Multiplier factor is assessed using three criterias. There are biomechanics, physiology, and psychophysical. The result of this study is form of vertical multiplier equation, i.e VM = 1 - 0.0310083 (68-V) and VM = 1 - 0.00708215 (68-V) for an elevation below the knuckle.
