In this paper, we examined consumers’ intention to adopt and use mobile payment method in Ghana. Data for the study was obtained from a sample of 260 respondents through online and direct survey using structured questionnaire. Structural Equation Modeling was used to analyse the data through SPSS v.22 and SmartPLS v.3. Findings with regards to the determinants of mobile payment system adoption indicate that perceived security, attitude and perceived usefulness play active roles in consumers decision to adopt mobile payment method in Ghana. Also, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have a significant and positive influence on consumers’ attitude towards mobile payment adoption. Further, subjective norm was found to influence perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of mobile payment adoption in Ghana. The study contributes to literature on mobile payment system from developing country context. The study proffered some recommendations.

Male and female consumers differ in terms of decision-making. This is also true for inexperienced and experienced consumers. Although the extant research delineates studies that have centered on the interrelationships between perceived ease of use (PEU), perceived enjoyment (PE), perceived usefulness (PU), attitude toward using social media (ATUSM), and users’ behavioral intentions, there is still a dearth of empirical research about gender and prior experience as the two potential moderators. With this recognition, our study examines gender and prior experience as moderators of the effects of PEU, PE, and PU on ATUSM. Our study also investigates ATUSM as a full mediator of the impacts of PEU, PE, and PU on users’ intentions to attend festivals (IAF). Data came from the students of the Korean Government Scholarship Program. The results from structural equation modeling reveal that the positive influence of PE on ATUSM is stronger among female users. As expected, the positive impact of PU on ATUSM is stronger for male users. As hypothesized, prior experience strengthens the positive effects of PE and PU on ATUSM. The results further reveal that ATUSM fully mediates the effects of PE and PU on IAF. Based on the aforesaid findings, theoretical implications are discussed and managerial implications to enhance business sustainability are offered.

Due to the high perceived risk and low switching cost, it is critical to building users' initial trust in mobile payment in order to facilitate their adoption and usage. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of initial trust on user adoption of mobile payment. We conducted data analysis with structural equation modeling. The results indicated that perceived security, perceived ubiquity and perceived ease of use have significant effects on initial trust, which in turn determines perceived usefulness and usage intention. We also found that perceived cost is a significant determinant of usage intention.

Visual analytics is increasingly being recognized as a source of competitive advantage. Yet, limited research has examined the factors deriving it organizational adoption. By integrating the technology acceptance model (TAM) with the task-technology fit (TTF) model, this research developed a model for visual analytics adoption in business enterprises. To test the research model, data was collected through a questionnaire survey distributed to 400 business professionals working in a variety of industries in Jordan. Collected data were tested and analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM) technique. Findings of this research confirmed the applicability of the integrated TAM/TTF model to explain the key factors that affect the adoption of visual analytics systems for work-related tasks. Specifically, the results of this research demonstrated that the task, technology, and user characteristics are fundamental and influential antecedents of TTF, which in turn has a significant positive effect on the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of visual analytics systems. Additionally, there are significant positive effects from perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use toward users' intention to adopt visual analytics systems, and a firm relationship between perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness of visual analytics systems. Together all these constructs explain 59.9% of the variance in user's intention to adopt visual analytics systems at the workplace. Findings of this research provide several important implications for research and practice, and thus should help in the design and development of more user-accepted visual analytics systems and applications.

This study aims to identify relevant lifestyle factors that affect consumer adoption of mobilephone (BlackBerry). Furthermore, this study attempts to examine the impact of lifestyle factorson perception and adoption of BlackBerry consumers. Using the technology acceptance model asa theoretical framework, the conceptual model depicts the relationships among lifestyles,perceptions, and intention. Two-step structural equation modeling was used to test the proposedhypotheses. Results of this study show that consumer lifestyle factors (fashion consciousness,Internet involvement, and e-shopping preference) are direct and indirect antecedents ofconsumers’ intention to adopt BlackBerry phone. Untuk mengujihipotesis yang diajukan digunakan pemodelan persamaan struktural. Hasil dari penelitian inimenunjukkan bahwa faktor gaya hidup konsumen (kesadaran fashion , keterlibatan internet, danpreferensi e-shopping) adalah anteseden langsung dan tidak langsung dari niat konsumen untukmengadopsi telepon selular BlackBerry. Temuan penelitian ini memberi pemasar wawasanmengenai bagaimana pengetahuan tentang faktor gaya hidup dapat diintegrasikan ke dalamstrategi pemasaran dan periklanan.

Individual users' payment behaviors have changed. The diffusion of mobile devices makes people suitable for proximity mobile payment (PMP) services without the need for traditional payment. Existing mobile payment literature mainly focuses on users' adoption and continuous usage behavior, nevertheless, switching behavior on payment received little attention, especially focusing on why users switch from traditional payment to PMP. Thus, the objective of the current research is to investigate factors influencing users’ traditional payment - PMP switching to comprehend how these factors shape users’ switching intentions. We developed a traditional payment - PMP transition model based on the push-pull-mooring framework derived from migration theory. This research adopted a structural equation modeling analysis on 311 valid data. The findings indicate that a push factor drives users away from traditional payment in terms of dissatisfaction. The pull factors, including perceived substitutability and perceived usefulness, attract users to PMP. Furthermore, in terms of perceived technical compatibility, a positive mooring factor, facilitates users' switching to PMP. Negative mooring factor, in terms of perceived risk, hinder users' switching intention. However, another pull factor - perceived ease of use, failed to influence switching intention significantly. This study found some distinctions between mobile payment switching and mobile payment adoption. These findings provide pivotal insights for the mobile payment service providers.

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived ease of use, and attitude toward using on the intention to use mobile payment and the influence of perceived ease of use on the intention to use mobile payment through attitude toward using as mediation variable for traders at Taman Puspa Raya (TPR) market. Taman Puspa Raya Market (TPR) is used as an object in this research because there is a shift of payment system to the traders at the TPR market that causes the traders to have similarities in using fintech as payment system alternative. This research uses a quantitative method. The population in this research is 168 traders at the TPR market that using mobile payment as a payment alternative. The number of samples in this research is 45 respondents, and the response rate in is 100%. In this research, data analysis is done by Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The results of this research indicate that all hypotheses are accepted. These results indicate another support evidence for the theory of acceptance model (TAM). A suggestion to future researchers is to get closer to the traders before the study is made so that traders will be more proactive and willing to help in the process of filling out the questionnaire so that the data obtained is not biased. Suggestion for traders is traders can be more careful and double-check existing transactions by ensuring that the transaction is successful and there is a notification on the merchant's cellphone.

The increasing popularity of self-service analytics (SSA) is empowering business users to analyze data and generate actionable insights autonomously. While there are many benefits to SSA tools, there is a scarcity of research on the factors influencing their adoption in business organizations. This article presents an extended technology acceptance model (TAM) that incorporates the task-technology fit (TTF), compatibility, and user empowerment as critical antecedents of users' intention to adopt SSA tools for reporting and analytics tasks. To test the proposed model, data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 211 business users working in different industries in Jordan. The collected data were analysed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of this study demonstrate that the task-technology fit, compatibility, and user empowerment are significant predictors of users' perceptions of usefulness and ease of use of SSA tools. Both of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use have a positive effect on users' intention to adopt SSA tools. Collectively, all these factors account for 51.6 percent of the variance in the behavioral intention. The findings of this study provide several key implications for research and practice, and thus should contribute to the design and adoption of more user-accepted SSA tools and applications.

PurposeThe objective of this study is twofold: first, to investigate the determinants of customers' switching intention from traditional payments to proximity mobile payments (PMPs) during the COVID-19 pandemic for specific insight on how these factors shape customers' switching intentions; second, this study discusses the relationship between traditional payments and PMP services.Design/methodology/approachThe study data were collected from individual customers who used both traditional payments and PMP in a physical store during the COVID-19 pandemic. Structural equation modeling (SEM) was applied to analyze the validity of the variables and the causal relationships among variables based on 305 valid data.FindingsThe results show that the factor of traditional payments, that is, dissatisfaction positively and significantly influenced customers' switching intention. Factors of PMP, namely perceived usefulness (PUF) and perceived ease of use (EOU), positively and significantly impacted switching intention. In addition, the relationship between traditional payments and PMP, that is, low perceived substitutability was found to negatively influence switching intention, PUF and EOU.Research limitations/implicationsFirst, the study targets are customers with experience in using PMP after the COVID-19 pandemic. It is suggested to compare customers who had experience using PMP before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Second, although cash and bank cards belong to the category of traditional payments, they have different degrees of contact when transactions occur. The contact rate of bank cards is lower than that of cash. This study did not differentiate between cash and bank cards, which is the main limitation.Originality/valueFirst, this study provides a reference to examine mobile payment usage from the perspective of both incumbent and alternative services conjointly under emergency situations, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Second, the application of migration theory to the context of mobile payment extends existing research on mobile payment. Third, this study is among the first to investigate the relationship between traditional payments and PMP.
