The train door of the high speed train currently operation in Korea is consist of 46 train set(1,656 units) and they are all made up of imports. The problem is that it is difficult to service parts at the right time for breakdown or replacement as parts are imported. Moreover, it is difficult to secure service parts when they are discontinued due to characteristics of imported parts, this leads to an increase in overall maintenance cost. As a result, the Korea Railroad Corporation has developed localization of the high speed train door system and currently progress the on-track test to verify reliability. In this paper, the design and production process of development product and result of performance test are summarized. In addition, the technical improvement of the developed product compared to the existing product was confirmed and the method for securing the reliability was considerate.

Vibration measurement is important for understanding the behavior of engineering structures. Unlike conventional contact-type measurements, vision-based methodologies have attracted a great deal of attention because of the advantages of remote measurement, nonintrusive characteristic, and no mass introduction. It is a new type of displacement sensor which is convenient and reliable. This study introduces the singular value decomposition (SVD) methods for video image processing and presents a vibration-extracted algorithm. The algorithms can successfully realize noncontact displacement measurements without undesirable influence to the structure behavior. SVD-based algorithm decomposes a matrix combined with the former frames to obtain a set of orthonormal image bases while the projections of all video frames on the basis describe the vibration information. By means of simulation, the parameters selection of SVD-based algorithm is discussed in detail. To validate the algorithm performance in practice, sinusoidal motion tests are performed. Results indicate that the proposed technique can provide fairly accurate displacement measurement. Moreover, a sound barrier experiment showing how the high-speed rail trains affect the sound barrier nearby is carried out. It is for the first time to be realized at home and abroad due to the challenge of measuring environment.

This paper measures the spatial evolution of urban agglomerations to understand be er the impact of high-speed rail (HSR) construction, based on panel data from fi ve major urban agglomerations in China for the period 2004–2015. It is found that there are signi ficant regional diff erences of HSR impacts. The construction of HSR has promoted population and economic diff usion in two advanced urban agglomerations, namely the Yang e River Delta and Pearl River Delta, while promoting population and economic concentration in two relatively less advanced urban agglomerations, e.g. the middle reaches of the Yang e River and Chengdu–Chongqing. In terms of city size, HSR promotes the economic proliferation of large cities and the economic concentration of small and medium-sized cities along its routes. HSR networking has provided a new impetus for restructuring urban spatial systems. Every region should optimize the industrial division with strategic functions of urban agglomeration according to local conditions and accelerate the construction of inter-city intra-regional transport network to maximize the eff ects of high-speed rail across a large regional territory.
