The advanced manufacturing technology of mechanical products features interaction, and high simulation, etc. In this paper, a digital geometry model for the processing is established with the aid of computer technology, so that the needs of machinery manufacturing production and precision machining can be fulfilled, and also the simulation, validation, comparison, and optimization of many plans can be implemented for ultimately finding out an optimal processing method and realizing the benefit of low cost and high quality. From two different levels of activity and parts, the configuration principle of mechanical products advanced manufacturing technology is defined. Therefore, the advanced manufacturing technology for customizing different products can be derived, and also the reuse of different types of parts is realized. Finally, this is verified with an example.

This paper gives the definition of configuration rules in the customized production process of mechanical products from two different levels: the activities and parts. In this configuration, different customized production process of customized products will be generated to achieve the purpose of reusing different types of resources; finally, practical example will be given to prove this verification. Customized production is interactive and highly imitative. According to theses two advantages, this paper adopts computer technology to establish geometric model of production figures. In this way, this application can not only simultaneously meet the needs of both machinery manufacturing production and customized production, but also launch various simulation, verification, and contrast and optimization process to a variety of program. Finally, an optimal method for production is used eventually to realize the purpose of low-cost and high quality.

The properties inherent in Advanced Manufacturing Technology (AMT) create new opportunities for firms, and in particular small firms. The capability of this technology to modify production specifications quickly and accurately means that firms can customize their products and attain economies of scope based on low volume and low cost production. While traditionally technology has been perceived merely as a tool in implementing business strategy, this paper suggests that AMT has the potential to directly affect a firm's innovation strategy. To date, however, empirical analysis to examine the technology-strategy relationship has not been forthcoming. Through empirical analysis this paper focuses on the relationship between the adoption of AMT and one element of firm's strategy choice, that is, their innovation strategy. This relationship is examined in the context of firm's market and industry structure and internal non-technological resource capabilities.
