The bamboo-cage loom in Guangxi province in China is a great invention in the textile history of the Chinese minorities. However, the previous studies on the bamboo-cage loom were not very clear, and led to much misunderstanding. Based on our investigation on the spot of some ethnic villages in Guangxi province and in Guangxi Museum of Nationalities, at first, the structure of bamboo-cage loom was introduced in detail. Secondly the characters of Zhuang brocade on the bamboo-cage loom were presented. At last, the operational processes on the bamboo-cage loom were explained.

For the most part, the history of Communist Party activity in Guangxi before 1949 is one of modest success in difficult circumstances. Guangxi was the home base of one of the most formidable military factions of the Kuomintang. In association with Chiang Kai-shek (Jiang Jieshi), provincial leaders Li Zongren, Bai Chongxi and Huang Shaoxiong – the “Guangxi Clique” – played a major part in planning and executing the April 1927 Party purge and thereafter, throughout the Republican era, proved bitter opponents of communism.

The use of application programming interfaces (APIs) to develop and design technological forms of structured exchanges is an increasingly prevalent practice at present, allowing data to be shared, automated, circulated and redistributed in wider computational culture. Despite acting as key infrastructural elements and connectors, the prominence and importance of APIs is still under recognised. Via a brief survey of the history of API development and then closer regulatory and technical analysis of the long standing, non-profit net.art generator (nag) (1997), this study aims to bring to the fore key sociotechnical elements of API design. Particular attention is given to protocological forms of control as these can be enacted through APIs via the regulations, terms of service and specific operational processes and affordances of fetching networked data. net.art generator uses the Google API and URL and specific attention is given to Google’s setting of terms for exchange. In doing so, we give a few suggestions for how anyone working with APIs might think through certain key questions around the creation and use of APIs, particularly in regards to the parameters of openness, accessibility and terms of inclusivity that APIs set upon practices of knowing, sharing, participation and exchange.

Cargo terminals are nodal elements of the transport infrastructure, forming the shape of the basic transportation network, which in its turn builds the foundation for the regional economy. Accordingly, the costs of the design, construction and operation of cargo terminal of any scale - from cargo yard to international hub - are very high, but much higher are the consequences of their optimal or poor economic performance connected to the transformation of cargo flows. So, the problem of the perception of the economic profile of the developing or reconstructed terminals on the stage of their technological design remains actual, not only regarding the aspects of an engineering installation equipped with the set of technical means, but the aspect of two main operational processes - internal processes of the terminal and the external processes of the senior level of the transport system. This dynamics could be represented adequately and accurately studied with simulation techniques. The article studies the technologic aspects of the port and terminal design arriving to conclusions of their development insufficiency of the traditional analytical methods in current conditions. The role and the place of the mathematical simulation in the technological design, the history of its development, the current state have been discussed. New possibilities of simulation modelling and new problems connected with the adequacy proving have been identified. The general principles of the adequacy problem solution for the field of technologic design of the sea ports have been covered.
